Jorge Bonifacio hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning that the Royals bullpen made stand up, edging the Diamondbacks 4-3 on Saturday.
Archie Bradley ran it up there at 97 mph, but it caught a lot of the plate and Bonifacio deposited it into the left-center field seats. The homer was his 17th of the year. The 24-year-old rookie hasn't gotten much pub with some other rookies performing slightly better (read: making history), but Bonifacio has more than held his own, batting .253/.318/.432 while playing all three outfield spots this year. With Melky Cabrera and Lorenzo Cain set for free agency, Bonifacio surely is a big part of the Royals' plans moving forward.
