DeSean Jackson News

DeSean Jackson    WR  Buccaneers

Jackson brought in four of seven targets for 41 yards and added one rush for 23 yards in Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Lions. Jackson paced the Buccaneers in targets on a day when Jameis Winston connected with 11 different pass catchers. He was effective on his rush as well, but he also was under 50 receiving yards for the third time in the last four games. The 31-year-old has struggled to make the type of impact that was envisioned upon his free-agent signing last March, as his current tally of 657 receiving yards rank as the second fewest of his 10 seasons, while his 13.4 YPC is a career-low figure. Jackson will look to bolster his production against the Falcons in Week 15.

DeSean Jackson caught 4-of-7 targets for 41 yards in the Bucs' Week 14 loss to the Lions, adding a 23-yard rush. This has been Jackson's standard game of late. He's been a Ted Ginn-type option in fantasy leagues. We suppose Jackson will offer some upside as a WR4 for the fantasy semifinals against the Falcons in Week 15.

Jackson (foot) brought in two of three targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Packers. Coming off season highs in receptions (eight) and targets (11) in Week 12, Jackson's downturn was a significant disappointment for fantasy owners, especially considering his matchup against a porous Packers secondary. The 31-year-old has provided rollercoaster production throughout his first Buccaneers campaign, posting three or fewer catches in seven games while logging between 60 and 106 receiving yards in five others. He'll look to generate one of his better efforts versus the Lions in Week 14.

DeSean Jackson caught 2-of-3 targets for 24 yards in the Bucs' Week 13 loss to the Packers. He and Mike Evans combined for 57 yards on four catches in a dream spot against this horrible Green Bay secondary. Jameis Winston couldn't make anything happen, however. Jackson did catch a short touchdown in the second half, but it was easily overturned when Winston was at least three yards past the line of scrimmage when he threw the ball. Jackson will look to rebound next week at home against the Lions. He'll be a boom-bust WR3 in that one.

DeSean Jackson (foot) is active for Week 13 against the Packers. Cameron Brate (hip) and Jameis Winston (shoulder) are also active after all three were listed questionable. D-Jax is in a good spot as an upside play.

Jackson (foot) is expected to play Sunday at Green Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jackson was held out of practice Wednesday but managed limited sessions Thursday and Friday. There hasn't been any indication his injury is serious, but cautious owners will still want to check back when the Bucs release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. EST kickoff.

Jackson (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Jackson was held out of practice Wednesday but managed limited session Thursday and Friday. There hasn't been any indication his injury is serious, but cautious owners will still want to check back when the Bucs release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Assuming he plays, Jackson will have a favorable matchup against a Green Bay defense that surrenders 8.9 yards per target to wide receivers. He also stands to benefit from Jameis Winston's return to the starting role.

DeSean Jackson (foot) is questionable for Week 13 against the Packers. Jackson finished the week with two limited practices and should be ready to rock Sunday at Lambeau Field. With Jameis Winston (shoulder) returning from a three-week absence, D-Jax will be playable as a WR2/3 in a good matchup.

DeSean Jackson    WR  Buccaneers

Jackson (foot) was limited in Thursday's practice, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The restricted reps Thursday amount to a step forward for the veteran wideout, who opened the week as a non-participant in practice while managing the foot issue. With the Buccaneers playing from behind for a good portion of an eventual 14-point loss to the Falcons in Week 12, Jackson benefited from the game flow, putting up new season highs in targets (11) and receptions (eight). While Sunday's road clash with Green Bay projects to be more competitive, Jackson, if healthy, should still benefit from the matchup against a defense that has surrendered 7.8 yards per pass attempt this season, the fifth-worst mark in the NFL.
