Josh McCown completed 17-of-27 passes for 209 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding one yard and a rushing touchdown on three carries Sunday in the Jets’ Week 7 loss to the Dolphins.
He got off to a blistering start Sunday, hitting Jermaine Kearse for a 29-yard touchdown in the first quarter before finding Robby Anderson for an 18-yard score later in the same period. McCown scored from a yard out on a QB keeper just before halftime before connecting with a wide-open Austin Seferian-Jenkins for a 10-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. However, McCown blew the game in the fourth quarter by throwing an interception deep in his own territory. That led to Cody Parkey’s game-winning field goal with 22 seconds remaining. It ended up being a productive fantasy game for McCown but the Jets obviously would have preferred the W. He faces the Falcons at home in Week 8.
