Josh McCown said his "goal" is to win the starting job, but he is also happy to mentor Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.
"I look forward to every day coming in and working with Hack and Bryce, and trying to give away the things that I learned in my career," McCown said. "That is something I believe in as a person, not just inside football, but in every walk of life." Coach Todd Bowles has promised an open competition which McCown is the heavy favorite to win, but that battle will not stop McCown from helping Petty and especially Hackenberg get ready to play. It will not be a surprise if all three make starts this season.
