Brandon Prust would like to return to the NHL in 2017-18.
"There's teams that realize they need guys like me around still," Prust said. "If that doesn't work out, I'll go back to Europe." He attended training camp with Toronto on a tryout, but didn't get a deal from the Leafs. Prust decided he couldn't wait any longer and accepted a contract to play for the Nurnberg Ice Tigers in the DEL. He had eight points and 67 penalty minutes in 29 games during the regular season along with six points and 51 PIMs in 11 playoff matches.
