Mark Streit has signed a one-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens. Streit will reportedly earn $700,000. He suited up in 68 games with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh last season. Streit had 21 points in 49 appearances with the Flyers as well as six points in 19 outings with the Penguins. He could be in line to replace Andrei Markov as a veteran power-play option if the latter doesn't re-sign with the Canadiens.

It appears Mark Streit will not play in Game 3 against the Predators. The only change Mike Sullivan is making is replacing the injured Nick Bonino with Carl Hagelin. Mark Streit, Josh Archibald, Oskar Sundqvist, Cameron Gaunce, Jean-Sebastien Dea, Derrick Pouliot, Daniel Sprong, Dominik Simon, David Warsofsky, Frank Corrado, Kevin Porter, Garrett Wilson, Tom Sesito, Tristan Jarry, Sean Maguire will all watch from the press box tonight.

Mark Streit is projected to play in Game 5 Sunday afternoon. Streit has only been used in one playoff game so far in 2017, but the Penguins are making this change because Chad Ruhwedel is unavailable. Streit is projected to play on the third pairing with Ian Cole.

Mark Streit is expected to be a healthy scratch in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Ottawa Senators on Friday night. Streit played in his first game of the playoffs in Game 3 of the series. He had 15:30 of ice time in that. The Penguins pairings look like this in warmup: Brian Dumoulin and Ron Hainsey, Olli Maatta and Trevor Daley, and Ian Cole and Chad Ruhwedel.

Mark Streit will return to the Penguins' lineup for Game 3 Wednesday night. Streit was regarded as a game-time decision. The Penguins are dressing seven blueliners and it looks like Streit is the one without a regular defensive partner. That being said, he might play a big role with the man advantage.

Mark Streit will be a game-time decision for Game 3 versus Ottawa on Wednesday night, according to coach Mike Sullivan. Streit and Trevor Daley are listed as game-time calls, while Justin Schultz has been ruled out for the contest. It's being speculated that the Penguins could dress seven defensemen and 11 forwards. Streit was on the team's top power-play unit during the morning skate and might make his 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs debut.
