Alex Len News

Alex Len scored 14 points with 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes against the Clippers on Friday. The bad news is he went 0-of-7 from the line to tie him for second most attempts without a make in a game this season (Andre Drummond is first with an 0-of-9). The good news is that Len is the last man standing and he should be able to get minutes close to 30 at least until Alan Williams comes back. Maybe he gets hurt again, but it's probably time to pick him up due to the lack of competition and a decent upside.

Alex Len will start against the Clippers on Friday. He'll join Elfrid Payton, Devin Booker, T.J. Warren and Dragan Bender. This is a huge game for him against DeAndre Jordan and he had a monster stat line in 38 minutes to end his first half. One more good game, and he'll be a hot pickup.

Alex Len busted out in the starting lineup against the Jazz on Wednesday, scoring 14 points with seven rebounds, three steals and four blocks in 38 minutes. Wow. Maybe the Suns were slow-playing Len after his ankle injuries kept him in check for most of the past month, but he looked very active today in a tough matchup against Rudy Gobert. There are a lot of things that can go wrong here and Tyson Chandler did not play due to neck spasms. All that said, that playing time is almost too high to leave on the wire for anyone needing a big man. He has serious upside.

Alex Len will start at center against the Jazz on Wednesday. This is different from the earlier report saying it was going to be Dragan Bender. With Devin Booker likely back, it'll be interesting to see if the Suns go small at forward or they slide Bender over to the four. Either way, Len isn't really a pickup until he shows he can be healthy for over two games.

Alex Len finished Wednesday's blowout loss with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 18 minutes off the bench. Len isn't hiding his discontent with his current role. He'd prefer to be a starter but said recently, "If I can be on a winning team ... coming off the bench to contribute, I'm willing to do that." As far as potential trade whispers heading into the Feb. 8 deadline, Len added, "I’ve heard nothing. It’s been quiet." He'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer and few teams will give up much to rent an off-injured 24-year-old center, but fantasy owners should still monitor him closely through the deadline. You never know.

Len (ankle) returned to action in Sunday's 115-110 loss to the Hornets and provided eight points (2-3 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 11 minutes. Len had been sidelined for the prior two contests and five of his last six overall. The 24-year-old big man is sitting on a golden opportunity for extended run now that Greg Monroe is out of town, but he'll naturally have to remain healthy enough to capitalize. Factoring in Sunday's efficient outing, Len is averaging 8.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 20 minutes in his last five games.

Alex Len (ankle) returned to action on Sunday with eight points, five rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes, making 2-of-3 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws. Len has a long history of ankle injuries, so it's possible the Suns will limit his minutes even if he's completely healthy. There's decent rest-of-season potential here, but don't hold him at the expense of another hot free agent -- even teammates like Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender and Josh Jackson look more appealing at the moment.

Suns interim head coach Jay Triano said Len (ankle) is available and will play Sunday against the Hornets, Scott Bordow of The Arizona Republic reports. Len has been sidelined for five of the Suns' past six games with the sore right ankle, which had opened up more playing-time opportunities for Greg Monroe before Phoenix bought out the veteran's contract a few days ago. With Monroe out of the picture, Len is now locked in as the clear-cut top backup to Tyson Chandler the rest of the way, and could make for an attractive pickup given the likelihood Chandler won't play major minutes most nights and will be rested semi-regularly in the second half of the season. Look for Len to handle around 20-to-25 minutes in his first game back.

Alex Len (ankle) is available on Sunday vs. Charlotte. Len's rest-of-season outlook improved with the Suns moving on from Greg Monroe, but his ankle is a concern. He's missed five out of the last six games and may have restrictions, but is worth a look if you need a big since his only competition right now is Tyson Chandler.

Alex Len (ankle) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. Utah. Len had missed four of the Suns previous five games due to the ankle issue. Tyson Chandler will start at center, with Dragan Bender backing him up. WIth Len out and Greg Monroe waived, there will be extra minutes available upfront in Phoenix.
