Austin Rivers (hamstring) remains out for Game 4 on Sunday. The Clippers could've used him now that Blake Griffin (toe) is out for the playoffs. With Rivers out, the Clippers will use more small-ball lineups with Luc Mbah a Moute, Marreese Speights and Paul Pierce soaking up minutes at the four. We should see more Brandon Bass and three-guard lineups, as well.

Coach Doc Rivers said Friday that he doesn't think Austin Rivers (hamstring) will be able to play Sunday vs. Utah. Rivers has been sidelined since initially injuring his hamstring back on March 29th. "I don't think so," Doc said when asked if Austin could be ready in time for Sunday's Game 4. "I don't know. I think he probably thinks that for sure. He's feeling better. He's working out. But I just don't see that. I think that's awfully quick." We should have a formal update regarding Rivers status either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning after shootaround.

Austin Rivers (hamstring) will not play in Game 3 Friday night vs. Utah. This news was expected, as earlier this week coach Doc Rivers stated that Game 4 on Sunday was a more realistic target for his son's return. Rivers has not appeared in a game since he initially injured the hamstring back on March 29th. However, Doc said that Austin "had a good day" Wednesday and did a bit of running. Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford will continue to soak up extra minutes in Rivers absence.

Austin Rivers (hamstring) is hopeful that he can get back on the court for Sunday's Game 4 vs. Utah. Head coach Doc Rivers said on Monday that he wasn't expecting his son to return to the floor for Friday's Game 3, and with Rivers now shooting for Game 4 on Sunday, it seems safe to assume he'll be watching Friday's game from the sidelines. He hasn't played since March 29, so he'll likely be eased back into things once he's finally cleared to play. Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton will continue to see an uptick in minutes with Rivers on the shelf.

Clippers' head coach Doc Rivers said that Austin Rivers (hamstring) will not play in Game 2 on Tuesday and that he's "probably" out for Friday's Game 3 as well. Austin was able to get some shots up during Saturday's shootaround, and while he was hopeful he'd be able to get back on the court for Game 3, it doesn't sound like that's a very likely scenario. Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton should continue to flirt with minutes in the 20s with Rivers on the sidelines.

Austin Rivers (hamstring) said he's targeting a return on Friday for Game 3 against the Jazz. Rivers was able to shoot around on Saturday for the first time since suffering his injury on Mar. 29, and that's encouraging because his previous attempt to get back on the floor didn’t go well. "I was on the court three or four days ago," Rivers said on Saturday, "and it didn’t really go as I planned. Didn’t feel good and they took me off and waited a couple more days, with a little treatment and stuff like that. Today we tried it again and it worked." With Rivers already ruled out for Game 2, Jamal Crawford will continue to see a bump in minutes.
