Carmelo Anthony News

Carmelo Anthony    F  Thunder

Anthony registered 22 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 36 minutes in Wednesday's 108-91 win over the Warriors. Anthony continues to serve as an ideal complement to fellow stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George, with Wednesday's tally pushing his November scoring average to 18.0 across nine contests. However, he's actually accomplished the figure while scuffling with his shot, as the 33-year-old only has an underwhelming 38.8 percent success rate from the field during the current month. Anthony's shot attempts per game (16.6) are understandably down from his Knicks heyday, but he remains a valuable source of scoring and rebounding in all fantasy formats.

Carmelo Anthony hit 7-of-19 shots and 2-of-9 3-pointers for 19 points, nine rebounds, two assists and four steals in 35 minutes of Monday's 114-107 loss to the Pelicans. Melo was good tonight, but the Thunder couldn't get the win despite strong play from most of its starting five. Melo is cooking in his last four, averaging 17.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.5 3-pointers on 41 percent shooting. It's safe to say he's found new life in OKC.

Anthony posted 20 points (9-17 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot across 33 minutes in Friday's 104-101 loss to the Spurs. the Thunder blew another big lead Friday as Oklahoma City's big three all had decent outings, with Anthony coming out on top this time around. It seems the former Knick is showing no ill effects from the injury that kept him out of action earlier in the week. While Anthony, Paul George and Russel Westbrook all are good fantasy plays, it's getting increasingly difficult to decipher which player is the best play on any given night, which only underlines the Thunder's inconsistency from a fantasy perspective.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot across 33 minutes Friday in San Antonio. Melo did a pretty solid job, hitting 9-of-17 from the field, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc, and he turned it over just once. He entered the day with 20.1 PPG, 6.2 RPG and 0.9 BPG, so the outing was right on the mark as far as all of his season averages are concerned. It was a nice improvement over his 3-of-10 shooting performance Wednesday when he was making his return from a back ailment.

Anthony recorded 18 points (3-10 FG, 1-2 3 Pt, 11-12 FT) and 11 rebounds across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 92-79 win against the Bulls. Anthony recorded his first double-double of the season Wednesday after missing the November 12th matchup against the Mavericks. Now that he is back on the court he should return to fantasy relevance on DFS slates where the Thunder is active, although he is still easily the third scoring option behind Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

Carmelo Anthony (back) returned on Wednesday with 18 points and 11 rebounds, making 3-of-10 FGs and 11-of-12 FTs in 28 minutes vs. the visiting Bulls. Melo wound up missing just one game with back soreness. We'll keep an eye on him over the next week, but this shouldn't be a lingering issue. He's shooting just 34.9 percent in November, and his value is highly concentrated in scoring (16.8 points per game), threes (2.2) and rebounds (8.2). His shot will come back around, and as long as he's healthy there are no grounds for complaint.

Carmelo Anthony (back) will return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. This likely means that Jerami Grant will return to the bench, but he could still see minutes in the mid-20s with Steven Adams (calf) on the sidelines. Melo won't have any restrictions tonight, so feel free to fire him up for a favorable matchup against Chicago.

Anthony (back) will be available for Wednesday's game against Chicago, Bulls radio announcer Chuck Swirsky reports. Anthony had been battling soreness in his lower back, which kept him out of Sunday's win over the Mavericks. However, after going through parts of practice Tuesday, he's been cleared to play and is expected to start. Per Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman, Anthony will not have a minutes limit.

Carmelo Anthony (back) has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. Anthony sat out Sunday's game with a sore back and was limited to non-contact work during Tuesday's practice, so he feels somewhat closer to doubtful than questionable for tonight's game, but we likely won't get official confirmation on his status until just prior to tip-off. Steven Adams (calf) is also doubtful for Wednesday's game, so Jerami Grant could be looking at minutes in the mid-30s tonight.

Carmelo Anthony (back) was limited to non-contact work during Tuesday's practice. He's going to be re-evaluated on Wednesday, so owners can expect to get another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. If he's out again, Jerami Grant will be in line for another start and both Russell Westbrook and Paul George will see an uptick in usage.
