According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Carmelo Anthony is willing to waive his trade kicker to facilitate a deal. Melo would only be willing to waive both his no-trade clause and the kicker to join a team of his choice. It is believed the Cavs and Rockets are the two teams on his wish list. The trade kicker is worth approximately $8.4 million, which makes it a little easier for the Knicks and the Rockets to complete a deal. However, the issue is Houston would need to send Ryan Anderson's contract to New York to make the salaries match, but the Knicks have no interest in taking on Anderson.

Damian Lillard said he's reached out to Carmelo Anthony and said it's a "real possibility" that Anthony could join the Blazers. The Blazers reportedly have made it clear they won't be involved in a Melo trade unless they're the ones getting the All-Star forward. Lillard isn't usually the recruiting type, but C.J. McCollum has touched on this subject and even posted a photoshopped picture of Anthony in a Blazers uniform. Anthony does have a no-trade clause and several reports say he wants to go to Houston, so the Rockets should be considered as the frontrunners.

Carmelo Anthony has made it clear to New York management that he no longer wants to be a Knick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. "Carmelo Anthony has made it clear to [the Knicks]: I want to go to Houston, I am not interested in talking to you about being reincorporated back into this New York roster," said Woj. "Houston is now prepared for the fact that these negotiations with the Knicks could run through August, September, into possibly the start of training camp." Cleveland has been rumored to have an interest in Anthony, but they can't really offer New York anything they're interested in, and Melo won't waive his no-trade clause to go to Portland, so it seems all but a certainty that Anthony is headed for a reunion with Mike D'Antoni in Houston.

Carmelo Anthony is not currently willing to waive his no-trade clause to clear the way for a trade to Portland, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Knicks and Rockets had been trying to find additional teams to help facilitate a deal that allowed Anthony to land in Houston. However, it has been reported that the Blazers want to acquire Melo themselves. With new GM Scott Perry now in New York, the Knicks put a pause on all trade talks and plan to sit down with Anthony shortly and figure out exactly what his preference is going forward.

Knicks' president Steve Mills did not mention Carmelo Anthony when listing players he's looking to build around. Mills would only say that the Knicks future "may be with Carmelo or it may be without Carmelo," and that he would not pursue a buyout, so essentially Melo's only way out of New York will be via trade. Thus far he's been linked to Houston, Cleveland and Portland, and as of right now, the Rockets look like the frontrunners to land his services.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN said the Blazers could pursue Carmelo Anthony. Woj adds that the Blazers feel like the addition of Anthony would "furnish it with talent and depth comparable to those of the top Western Conference contenders." Anthony has only been willing to waive his no-trade clause if he can join the Rockets or Cavaliers, so it's not clear if he'd be interested in joining Portland. It sounds like the Rockets are the favorites to sign Melo and Woj said they are still "determined" to get a deal done, but nothing is imminent for now.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports that Carmelo Anthony is "counting on" the Knicks to trade him to the Rockets. Woj adds that Melo expects the Knicks to resume their trade talks after their recent front office changes. Anthony is expected to waive his no-trade clause, so it would appear it may be Houston or bust for the 10-time All-Star to sign off on a move. Anthony's value took a hit after the Phil Jackson disaster, but it sounds like he may be traded at some point.

According to the New York Post, the Knicks are hoping that Carmelo Anthony is willing to expand the list of teams to which he would accept a trade. It was reported on Thursday that the Knicks had put a pause on trade talks and were going to "hit the reset button." New York clearly felt they were not getting fair value in return for Melo. With a new GM hired, the Knicks front office wants to sit down with Anthony and see if he would be interested in staying in New York for another season, or if he'd be open to waiving his no-trade clause for teams outside of Cleveland and Houston.

The Knicks have paused Carmelo Anthony trade talks with Houston and Cleveland, according to ESPN.com. This probably has a lot to do with the Knicks hiring Scott Perry to be their new general manager. The Knicks aren't really in a rush to get a deal done anyway, especially since the Rockets and Cavs aren't oozing with young talent or draft picks.

A deal to send Carmelo Anthony to Houston is on the "two yard line," according to Frank Isola of the NY Daily News. The biggest obstacle appears to be Ryan Anderson, so it'll likely have to be a multiple-team trade. Anthony has reportedly been open to waiving his no-trade clause and he is close with Chris Paul, so it's possible this can go down. General manager Daryl Morey hasn't been shy about dropping hints he's after Melo, so this story could pick up even more steam.
