Courtney Lee News

Courtney Lee    G/F  Knicks

Courtney Lee hit his only free-throw attempt Monday in Brooklyn to tie the team's all-time mark for consecutive free throws made at 44, equaling the record set by Chris Duhon. Lee finished with 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting, including 1-of-2 from behind the arc, while chipping in with two assists, a rebound and a blocked shot. He is also working on a 14-game streak with at least one 3-pointer dating back to Dec. 18. Lee continues to be a decent fantasy asset in 9-cat leagues, particularly when Tim Hardaway Jr. is not on the court.

Courtney Lee went just 3-of-10 from the field during Sunday's overtime loss to the Pelicans, finishing with seven points, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, four assists and two turnovers in 35 minutes. Lee suffered from some suffocating defense from Jrue Holiday, but he’s also just been less involved in the offense since Tim Hardaway Jr. returned to the court. In the two games since THJ has gotten back out there, Lee’s usage has dipped to 15.0, so it looks like his value will take a bit of a hit once Hardaway Jr. is fully up to speed.

Courtney Lee made 6-of-11 from the field for 16 points with three rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 45 minutes against the Bulls on Wednesday. He did not go to the line today, but that' still a very efficient line. Lee's 96.1 percent from the line puts him on pace to be the second Knick ever to lead the NBA in free throw percentage for a season (Allan Houston), and he continues to yield mid-round value in standard leagues. He's been a major bargain in nine-cat leagues.

Lee finished with 24 points (9-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one assist in 40 minutes during Friday's 107-103 loss to Miami. Lee was dynamic for the Knicks again Friday, however, failed to score in the fourth quarter and overtime as the Knicks fell to the Heat. He has been a pleasant surprise for the rebuilding Knicks, having now scored in double-figures in seven of his last nine games while gathering at least one steal over the same period. There is a chance that Tim Hardaway's eventual return from a leg injury could cut into Lee's minutes, but until then he should continue to play big minutes and be owned in most leagues.

Courtney Lee's 24 points weren't enough in a 107-103 overtime loss to the Heat on Friday. Lee was 9-of-16 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the line, adding three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one triple in a team-high 40 minutes. He's had some duds lately including an eight-point game on Wednesday vs. the Wizards, but he's been an eighth-round value in standard category leagues for the past month, averaging 14.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 triples in his last 15 games. He'll continue to hold nice value, at least until Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg) comes back.

Courtney Lee scored eight points with three assists and two steals in 28 minutes on Wednesday, as the Knicks lost to the Wizards 121-103. It's still unclear when Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg) might return, as he's yet to resume running, which leaves the Knicks' backcourt running on fumes. Lee's 13.4 points per game is the highest among New York's healthy guards, but he's shooting just 39.0% over the past 10 games. He's still worth owning as a solid source of 3-pointers, steals and FT%, in addition to decent points and assists.

Lee collected 18 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 39 minutes in Thursday's 119-107 loss to the Spurs. Lee continues to flash some of the all-around play of his 10-year career, with Thursday's tally representing his fifth straight double-digit scoring effort and eighth in the last nine games. The 32-year-old also drained multiple threes for the seventh time in the last eight games and came into Thursday's contest with career highs in scoring (13.4), rebounds (3.6) , assists (2.8) and steals (1.4). Given his sizable role in the Knicks' offense and consistent play, Lee's fantasy stock continues to rise in all formats.

Lee scored 17 points (7-18 FG, 3-8 3PT) to go with three rebounds, four assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 92-87 loss to Chicago. Lee scored 17 points on the strength of his improved three-point game. Shooting a career-high 43.1 percent from beyond the arc, the guard has been solid from long range as of late. In his last seven games, Lee is shooting 42.8 percent from three on five shots per game. As a result, he is scoring at a rate of 16.2 points over this span. Adding in career-high averages in points (13.4) and rebounds (3.6), Lee is solid complement to Kristaps Porzingis and the injured Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg) on offense.

Lee collected 20 points 8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 105-98 loss to the 76ers. Lee played as expected Monday, finished with 20 points on 13 field-goal attempts. He missed practice due to a personal matter but suited up and saw his normal allocation of minutes. He has been a pleasant surprise for the Knicks this season, currently leading the team in steals, free-throw percentage, and three-point percentage. There is a chance his minutes take a hit once Tim Hardaway (leg) returns and if the Knicks fall out of the playoff hunt, but should be owned in all leagues until further notice.

Courtney Lee scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting Monday, to go with three rebounds, two assists, two 3-pointers, two steals and one turnover in 35 minutes. Lee did a nice job of making things difficult for Robert Covington, and he also was a perfect 2-of-2 from the charity stripe giving him a sterling 72.0 true shooting percentage on the evening. He’s done a nice job of picking up the slack with Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg) on the sidelines, and he’s currently hitting career-highs in points (13.1), triples (1.6) and steals (1.4).
