The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that Dante Exum separated his left shoulder and also suffered ligament damage and will likely miss "a significant amount of time."
Unfortunately, this news isn't surprising, as Exum took a nasty spill in the first half of Friday's game vs. Phoenix and immediately grabbed at his shoulder. He was quickly ushered into the locker room, and Jazz players and coaches were clearly concerned about his health after the game. If this report is confirmed, Exum would likely miss the majority of the 2017-18 season. Raul Neto would serve as the primary backup to Ricky Rubio, with Donovan Mitchell also potentially seeing additional playing time at point guard.
