Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey said that Utah plans play to play Dante Exum at multiple positions next season.
Exum has not lived up to expectations since being selected fifth overall in the 2014 draft, due in part to missing the entire 2015-16 season due to an ACL tear. However, he did show signs of progress in the 2017 postseason. Going forward, Utah envisions making the most of his versatility, including playing him off the ball. "The team functioned better when Dante was playing a wing, versus point guard, but there’s point guard in his future, there’s two-guard and even three because of his unique size, length and speed and hopefully developing strength," said GM Dennis Lindsey.
