Dario Saric News

Dario Saric    F  76ers

Dario Saric said he'll work to improve his 3-point shot this offseason. Saric shot 31.1 percent from beyond the arc during his rookie year, somewhat below the league average, so that's certainly an aspect of his game that could use improvement. It'll be interesting to see what his role looks like next year with a healthy Ben Simmons on the floor, but it could be tough for him to replicate his post-break success given that Simmons, Joel Embiid and likely Markelle Fultz will be the dominant aspects of most offensive possessions.

Dario Saric, Joel Embiid and Malcolm Brogdon are the finalists for Rookie of the Year. This one is going to be a close one with The Process clearly being the best rookie last season, but only playing in 31 games is definitely going to cost him some votes. Meanwhile, Saric went off as arguably Philly's best player after the break, averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 boards, 3.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.4 treys in his final 25 games. Brogdon was very consistent all year as a secondary weapon on the Bucks, but he'll certainly get some consideration.

General manager Bryan Colangelo said the 76ers need another power forward. He said he is either looking for a backup to Dario Saric or someone to start ahead of him if that player is "better than" The Homie. While the 76ers obviously need some depth at the four, it's still a strange quote about Saric. As one of the best Rookie of the Year candidates out there, Saric may trend down next season due to so much talent being added to the rotation.

Dario Saric (heel) will not play Wednesday against the Knicks. That's a wrap for a player who should get the Rookie of the Year. Since the break, Saric averaged 17.3 points, 7.3 boards, 3.4 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.4 treys. With him out tonight, Alex Poythress should play a bunch at the four while the 76ers go small more than usual. Shawn Long could play some PF, as well.

Dario Saric will be limited to 24 minutes again on Monday vs. the Pacers. No surprise here, as Saric is also expected to play 24 minutes in the season finale as well. He's averaging 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 triples over his last five games since the 76ers put restrictions on his minutes, so he's still worth deploying in most formats. DFS owners should probably look elsewhere, though.

Dario Saric admitted that he is fighting through fatigue, but wants to finish the season on a positive note. "I'm tired a little bit mentally, physically," Saric said. "But I try to push myself to what is possible in this part of the season, in this kind of minute restriction. Of course, I have pain in the foot. But I really want to play." The Sixers have placed Saric, who is dealing with plantar fasciitis, on a 24-minute restriction for the final few games of the season. However, he is still worth a roster spot in most fantasy leagues.

Dario Saric is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, but he will continue to fight through the pain and play Tuesday vs. the Nets. Plantar fasciitis is a painful issue that typically only heals with prolonged rest, but it sounds like Saric will continue to gut it out for Philly's final five games. He will be dealing with a 24-minute limit for the remainder of the season, so his upside will be capped, but he should still be able to do enough in those semi-limited minutes to warrant a roster spot in most leagues.

Saric, who is dealing with left heel soreness, will be put on a 24-minute restriction for the remainder of the season, Bob Cooney of the Daily News reports.

Dario Saric will be on a 24-minute restriction for the remaining five games of the regular season. This is a bummer for Saric owners, but certainly understandable from the Sixers perspective. Saric has been dealing with soreness in his left heel recently and also admitted to feeling fatigued. Saric averaged 30.1 minutes per game in February and 31.7 minutes in March, so his counting stats will obviously decrease in correlation to his dip in playing time. Nonetheless, he's still worth holding onto and starting in these final handful of games.

Dario Saric downplayed his sore left heel after Sunday's game vs. the Raptors. "I'm good," Saric said. "I have this left heel soreness a little bit [from] too many games these last two years. The medical staff, they want to protect me." Saric added that the issue is minor and that he wanted to play more than the 24 minutes he was limited to on Sunday. While it sounds like he's fine, we'll keep him on the injury report because this is Philly we're talking about.
