Emmanuel Mudiay parlayed his strong training camp with a great 2017 preseason debut on Saturday, scoring 19 points with two rebounds, six assists and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
Coach Mike Malone talked up Mudiay for working extra hard after how he was bumped from the rotation in the second half last year. Malone also said he wants to run a nine-man rotation, so Mudiay is going to have to continue his strong run to fend off Jameer Nelson. He's still not quite on the fantasy map for standard leagues yet, but the offseason buzz looks like it was for real. By the way, he is expected to make a start on Monday.
