Gary Harris News

The Nuggets will attempt to sign Gary Harris to a contract extension this offseason. Harris, who averaged career-highs in points (14.9), rebounds (3.1), assists (2.9) and shooting percentage (50.3), is scheduled to make $2.5 million next season. "I still don’t think the league appreciates how good he is and how young he is," Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly said. "He’s going to be here for a very long time." Injuries are a concern (he played in only 57 games), but Harris' fantasy stock is definitely on the rise.

Nuggets GM Tim Connelly praised Gary Harris for his breakout 2016-17 season. "Gary deserves so much credit. He’s a guy who has worked his way into the player he is today," Connelly said. Harris averaged 14.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.9 triples on 50.2 percent shooting, and while he only played 57 games due to a couple nagging injuries, he returned top-60 value in standard leagues on a per-game basis. Harris should reprise his role as the starting SG next season and Connelly added that he "is really emblematic of who we are trying to be," so expect him to take another step forward in 2017-18.

Gary Harris (foot, knee) is out for Wednesday against the Thunder. It's being called a left foot contusion and right knee soreness for one of the most underrated shooting guards since the break. Malik Beasley gets another big chance to build off his career high while Jamal Murray should have a big chance in front of him.

Gary Harris had a forgettable performance on Sunday, going 1-of-8 from the field to score two points with five assists and one turnover in 36 minutes. Harris went 0-of-3 from downtown and he didn't have a single rebound or defensive stat, making this a dreadful game for fantasy owners still fighting for a championship. Harris came in red-hot, having made 25-of-40 shots in his previous three games (62.5 percent), and he should fare much better vs. Dallas on Tuesday.

Gary Harris handed out a career-high nine assists with 20 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday. The Nuggets have a couple promising young guards these days. What's more, Jamal Murray's transition to point guard is a great sign for Harris to get big minutes. He's shaping up to be a mid-round pick next year as one of the most underrated players in the NBA.

Gary Harris dropped 20 points in 41 minutes vs. the Hornets on Friday. He probably has more massive workloads coming his way, as Will Barton missed this game with foot soreness and Jameer Nelson picked up a right calf strain. Harris finished 8-of-14 from the field with five rebounds, three assists and three triples, and if your fantasy league extends beyond this week, his owners can look forward to deploying him four times next week.

Gary Harris made all three shots from the field and both free throws for 10 points with two rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Pacers on Friday. We saw Harris peak from a minutes and usage standpoint earlier this month, but now he'll go back to being his super-efficient self with minutes in the low 30s with the Nuggets having their firepower back. That's still totally fine with Harris posting early-round value since the break. He's just a fantastic player in reality and in fantasy.

@gary_harris Both prevailing reasons are accurate. But, will you ever catch a corporation admitting their agenda hurt business?
