Gordon Hayward will meet with the Heat on Saturday. He is going to meet with the Jazz on Monday, but doesn't have a date set to meet the Celtics yet. According to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune, Hayward is hoping to come to terms on a deal "in short order." There's no doubt the Jazz have Hayward as their top priority, and their franchise could really be set back if he heads elsewhere. Hayward should have solid fantasy value wherever he goes, but Utah may be his best spot.

The Celtics reportedly are reportedly pursuing a plan that would net them both Gordon Hayward and Paul George this offseason. The Celtics will have the cap space to make a legitimate offer to Hayward, and the assets to present the Pacers with a competitive offer for Paul George, so they have the pieces in place to potentially put together a superteam of their own this offseason. Also, if the Celtics aren't able to secure Hayward via free agency, they will reportedly look to Blake Griffin as a plan B. If Boston is able to bring in another star player this offseason, Isaiah Thomas' value would take a slight hit.

Gordon Hayward reportedly "has interest" in signing with the Heat as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. To be clear, Utah remains the favorites to re-sign Hayward this offseason, but at the very least, he'll likely take meetings with Pat Riley in Miami and Danny Ainge in Boston. The Jazz will be able to offer Hayward a five-year, max deal worth somewhere in the ballpark of $179 million, whereas an opposing team will only be able to grant him a four-year deal worth roughly $132 million; so he'd be leaving a hefty chunk of change on the table if he decides to leave Utah.

Utah is worried that Gordon Hayward will consider signing with the Heat this summer, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. Hayward will be one of the most coveted free agents on the open market come July. It had been widely assumed that Utah's toughest competition for Hayward's services would be the Celtics, coached by Gordon's former college coach Brad Stevens. However, it now appears the Heat will also make a spirited run at Hayward. Miami president Pat Riley had previously stated he would focus on his own free agents as opposed to "chasing whales," but it seems Hayward is in Riley's crosshairs.

Becuase Gordon Hayward was not named to an All-NBA team this season, Utah is unable to offer him the Designated Player Veteran Extension this summer. It's a tough break for the Jazz. Had Hayward made one of the three All-NBA teams, Utah would have been able to ink him to a deal worth approximately $207 million over five years. Now, once he opts out in July, they will only be able to offer a max contract at around $177 million over five years. Other teams, including the Celtics, can offer $132 million over four years. Utah still can obviously offer far more than competitors, but it's not as sizable a difference as it could have been. Most league insiders believe Hayward's decision will come down to re-signing with Utah or heading to Boston to reunite with his former college coach Brad Stevens.

Chris Mannix of The Vertical believes Gordon Hayward is Boston's No. 1 target in free agency. Hayward has been non-committal about his future in Utah, but it's a lock that he's going to opt out of the final year of his deal and hit the open market. The 27-year-old wing is coming off a career year with averages of 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.1 treys on 46.8 percent shooting, so it will likely take a max contract offer to pry him away from Utah. To be clear, the Jazz are still the favorites to re-sign him.

Gordon Hayward said he hasn't thought about free agency too much, but made it clear that he's enjoyed his time in Utah. "It’s been so much fun for me here in Utah and kind of growing up here starting a family — growth from a basketball standpoint, growth from a man’s standpoint," he said. "I have nothing but love for everybody here in Utah." It's a lock that Hayward will opt out of his $16.7 million player option to test free agency, but he hasn't given any indication on what the future holds. Hayward said making the playoffs this season makes him want to "work even harder and go further," so hopefully the 27-year-old forward will take another step forward in 2017-18 after returning top-35 value in standard fantasy leagues.

Gordon Hayward's 25 points weren't enough in Monday's Game 4 loss to the Warriors as the Jazz were swept in the second round of the playoffs. Hayward finished 8-of-21 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line, adding five rebounds, three assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 39 minutes. Hayward was a top-35 player in standard fantasy leagues in 2016-17, averaging 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.1 treys on 46.8 percent shooting. Hayward is 27 years old and is in the prime of his career, but his fantasy value in 2017-18 hinges on where he lands this summer -- he's fully expected to opt out of his $16.7 million player option in order to become a free agent. A return to Utah seems likely, though.
