Jamal Murray (concussion protocol) is not expected to play on Friday. In case you missed it, he is not going to play tonight. Murray took a shot to his face on Tuesday, but he was able to return to the game. There's a very good chance he did play after he suffered the blow to his head, so expect the Nuggets to be extra cautious. Murray will miss his first NBA game tonight and Will Barton will be running the point in the first unit. Emmanuel Mudiay should be in the rotation off the bench.

Murray has entered the league's concussion protocol and will not play during Wednesday's matchup against the Lakers, T.J. McBride of Mile High Sports reports. Murray was pulled out of Tuesday's game against the Nuggets, but returned after a short stint on the bench. That said, he's apparently displayed some concussion-like symptoms, which will cause him to miss Wednesday's affair. As a result of his absence, Will Barton is a strong candidate to do much of the ballhandling for Denver, while Emmanuel Mudiay could see some run off the pine. Malik Beasley and Torrey Craig could see expanded roles as well.

Jamal Murray (concussion protocol) will not play against the Clippers on Wednesday. The injury happened on Tuesday night and Murray was diagnosed with a facial contusion. He did return to the game in the fourth, but the team monitored him through the night and Wednesday morning. Murray does not have a timetable to return, but hopefully this is more of a day-to-day issue. With him out, that should mean Emmanuel Mudiay gets in the rotation again while Will Barton plays more PG. That should also open up minutes for Torrey Craig and Malik Beasley.

Jamal Murray had another off night on Tuesday vs. Dallas, scoring seven points on 3-of-9 shots in 31 minutes. He added just three rebounds, one assist, one triple and three turnovers, and this comes on the heels of a two-point dud on Saturday. Murray is pretty streaky, but he has no competition for minutes right now and coach Malone went back to him late in the game even though he was cold. He has a great chance to bounce back on Wednesday vs. Milos Teodosic and the Clippers.

Jamal Murray managed just two points in Saturday's dismal 112-80 loss in San Antonio. Murray was able to hit just 1-of-7 from the floor, going 0-of-3 from behind the arc, while adding two assists and a rebound with a minus-18 rating. The two-point stinker snaps a career-high 10-game streak with double-digit points. He has hit just 2-of-14 (14.3 percent) from the field over the past two outings, as The Blue Arrow is in a bit of a funk. It didn't help facing a decent defensive club on their home court. He should find more room to operate on Tuesday against Dallas.

Murray, who tallied 11 points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 9-10 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Friday's 87-78 win over the Grizzlies, is shooting just 30.0 percent (6-for-20) -- including 22.2 percent (2-for-9) from three-point range -- in his last two games. The second-year guard has certainly taken a significant step forward in his sophomore campaign, but his shot remains a work in progress. In addition to his struggles over the last pair of contests, Murray had also posted just a 36.4 percent success rate three games ago against the Warriors, and had either hit or had fallen below that mark on four other occasions dating back to Dec. 15. The former Kentucky Wildcat has notably upped his numbers in the majority of categories over those of his rookie season, however, and he should see his fantasy stock progressively rise provided he retains a hold on the starting point guard job.

Murray generated 21 points (8-22 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, two rebounds and one steal across 42 minutes in Monday's 124-114 loss to the Warriors. Murray logged the most minutes of all the Nuggets, but he had trouble finding the net on a consistent basis. The second-year guard's 36.4 percent success rate from the field was his poorest since Dec. 22, snapping a seven-game streak of at least 40.0 percent shooting. Murray did post his best assists total of the last five games, bouncing back from being blanked altogether in that category against the Kings on Saturday. Factoring in Monday's line, the 20-year-old has managed a pair of 20-point efforts in his last three games and accomplished the feat in five of his last seven contests overall.

Jamal Murray scored 18 points with five rebounds, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Kings on Saturday. This was a slop fest for the Nuggets with 25 turnovers and Murray had a couple bad turnovers in the fourth. That aside, his two blocks were emphatic with one on a cutting Garrett Temple to put him to the ground, and the other on Bogdan Bogdanovic in transition. On top of just not being a scorer anymore, coach Mike Malone is using a lot more ways to get Murray the ball as he's even drawn up some designed plays like elevator screens to get him open threes. The Blue Arrow is the real deal.

Jamal Murray got hot during a 99-91 win over the Jazz on Friday, making 9-of-13 from the field for 26 points with six rebounds, three assists and six 3-pointers. He made both free throws to give him a pristine 93.7 TS%. Murray has been one of the most efficient young scorers in the NBA lately with his 63.2 TS% on a 23.8 usage rate over his last 13. To put that in perspective, no other qualifier under 22 years old can even hit 60 TS% and a 20 usage rate over the last 13 games. He's been the 17th-ranked player in nine-category leagues since Dec. 1, so congrats to all who held on after his rocky start to hit the bullseye on the Blue Arrow.
