Jeff Teague News

Jeff Teague said he would like to re-sign with the Pacers this summer. The 28-year-old PG will be an unrestricted free agent and should be able to command a nice raise. "I love Indiana," Teague said. "You all know me, born and raised, tattoos on my arm. I’ve wanted to play for the Pacers my whole life. It’s a great opportunity for me and I love to be here." Sticking around in Indiana would be great for his fantasy value, as he was a top-45 standard league asset with averages of 15.3 points, 7.8 assists, 1.1 triples, 1.2 steals and 2.6 turnovers per game on 44.2 percent shooting this season.

Jeff Teague double-doubled during the Pacers' Game 4 loss to the Cavs, recording 15 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, one 3-pointer, two steals, three blocks and three turnovers in 39 minutes. Teague put himself in a position to take home a pretty nice payday this offseason as an unrestricted free agent after compiling averages of 15.3 points, 7.8 assists, 1.1 triples, 1.2 steals and just 2.6 turnovers per contest on 44.2 percent shooting during his first season in Indiana. It’ll be interesting to see where he winds up, but if he opts to re-sign with the Pacers, he’ll make for a safe mid-round pick in next year’s drafts.

Jeff Teague played 33 minutes with 15 points, three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four 3-pointers against the Cavs in Game 3 on Thursday. Coach Nate McMillan may have waited too long to put Teague back into the game and the Pacers went without a PG at times in the fourth. Teague had a costly turnover late in the game, but he wasn't at the top of the blame-game list for this terrible home loss. He'll probably get minutes in the mid 30s again, especially since his wrist injury looked like a non-issue.

Jeff Teague (wrist) is not on the injury report for Game 3 on Thursday. Coach Nate McMillan said Teague will be "ready to go" n Wednesday, so it's good to hear he's ready to roll before warmups. Teague's shooting wrist could impede his jumper, but he was terrific in Game 2 with an 8-of-12 shooting line. Expect Teague to be the second or third option in a favorable matchup against Kyrie Irving.

Pacers' head coach Nate McMillan said that Jeff Teague (right wrist) will be "ready to go" for Thursday's Game 3 against the Cavs. Teague's right wrist was clearly bothering him during Monday's Game 2 loss, but he played through it, and it looks like that trend will continue on Thursday night. Check back for official confirmation following Thursday morning's shootaround.

Jeff Teague tweaked his right wrist in Monday's Game 2 loss to Cleveland, but still managed to score 23 points with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and two triples in 35 minutes. He took a hard fall and was grimacing for multiple possessions, but he was able to stay in the game and it didn't look like an issue in the fourth quarter. He finished 8-of-12 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line and bounced back nicely after his poor shooting performance in Game 1, but he was torched by Kyrie Irving on defense tonight. He will have a few days to rest up his wrist before Game 3 on Thursday.
