Justin Holiday News

Justin Holiday    G/F  Bulls

Justin Holiday nailed a career-high seven 3-pointers for 25 points in Monday's 119-111 win over the Heat. This was his fifth game of the season with five or more triples and eighth of his career. Holiday will lose a few minutes with Zach LaVine back (especially once his restrictions are lifted), but he's played 40, 45, 32 and 35 minutes in his last four outings. He hit 8-of-15 shots with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block and fantasy owners can continue to deploy him until further notice.

Holiday scored 25 points (8-15 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes during Monday's 119-111 win over the Heat. The seven made three-pointers were a career high, but it was the third time in the last seven games that Holiday has drained five or more. The journeyman wing is averaging 16.6 points, 4.7 boards, 3.7 threes and 2.3 assists over that stretch, but with Zach LaVine now healthy and slowly getting his legs back under him, Holiday's usage could begin to dwindle.

Justin Holiday scored 16 points with nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 45 minutes against the Knicks during a double-overtime win on Wednesday. While the Holiday season is over, there should still be a decent opportunity for Justin even when Zach LaVine (knee) makes his season debut on Saturday. Holiday's minutes have held steady at 34 per game, so that number is probably going to move close to 30. He should still get a chance in the starting lineup, and coach Fred Hoiberg still went to him to close even though both Denzel Valentine and David Nwaba played well -- he was the main wing in OT, too. Holiday should still be held in standard leagues with owners expecting double-digit scoring, two-plus treys and plenty of other counting stats.

Justin Holiday scored 23 points with three rebounds and five triples in Friday's win over the Mavericks. He's been playing a ton of minutes lately and this was his fourth game of the season with five or more triples. Holiday was 5-of-7 from the field and nailed all eight of his free throws in 37 minutes, and he remains unchallenged on the wing with David Nwaba and Denzel Valentine splitting minutes. It's going to be interesting to see what Holiday's role will look like when Zach LaVine (knee) gets back, but LaVine's minutes will probably be low for a while.

Holiday scored 26 points (7-10 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT) while adding four rebounds, four assists and a steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 124-115 loss to the Raptors. It's the fifth time this season Holiday's scored 20 or more points, snapping a streak of eight straight games in which he hadn't managed to contribute more than 15. The journeyman guard is enjoying his best NBA campaign in his return to Chicago, but his inconsistency still restricts his fantasy value to deeper season-long formats.

Holiday registered 14 points (4-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block across 41 minutes in Tuesday's 124-120 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers. Holiday continues to serve as an excellent backcourt complement to Kris Dunn, as he's now posted six consecutive double-digit scoring efforts and continues to offset some recent inconsistent shooting with solid work on the glass. The 28-year-old is thriving with the first taste of extended playing time in his five-year career, as he's now averaging a solid 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals across 33.8 minutes in his first 36 games.

Justin Holiday scored 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting Sunday, to go with four rebounds, one 3-pointer, one steal and zero turnovers in 34 minutes. Holiday has been a pleasant surprise this season, posting top-75 value in 9-cat leagues behind averages of 13.3 points, 2.4 triples, 4.5 boards, 2.4 dimes, 1.2 steals, 0.7 swats and just 1.3 turnovers per contest on 37.1% shooting. However, Zach LaVine (knee) is on the cusp of a return, and he could mess with Holiday’s minutes once he’s fully up to speed, so Holiday owners may want to look to sell high before that happens.

Holiday mustered 11 points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four assists, two rebounds, three blocks and one steal across 36 minutes in Friday's 119-107 win over the Pacers. Holiday has now strung together four straight double-digit scoring efforts and has at least one steal in five straight as well. The 28-year-old guard has seen the occasional scoring downturn recently due to some shooting struggles, but he's fought through those at times by continuing to put the ball up and also remaining efficient from the charity stripe. Factoring in Friday's production, he's averaging 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals across 32.7 minutes heading into the final contest of December against the Wizards on Sunday.

Justin Holiday posted 11 points with four assists, two rebounds, an assist and three blocked shots across 36 minutes in Friday's 119-107 win against the Pacers. It wasn't a great fantasy line, but the three blocks were a nice surprise. Zach LaVine (knee) is set to begin his six straight days of practice on Saturday, so the time is ticking down on how long Holiday and Denzel Valentine continue to see a big role and healthy amount of minutes. He has some short-term fantasy appeal still, but his days of 30-plus minutes will be coming to an end soon.

Holiday scored 11 points (3-7 FG, 3-4 3PT, 2-2 FT) to go with nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 92-87 win against New York. Aside from scoring in double-digits for the third straight game, Holiday missed his third double-double by a single rebound on Wednesday. In his last ten games, the guard is averaging 5.0 rebounds to go along with 10.9 points. For the season, Holiday is averaging career-highs in minutes (33.5), three-point percentage (36.4 percent), rebounds (4.6), assists (2.3) and points (13.4). Starting a career-high 33 games to date, Holiday has thrived in his second stint with Chicago.
