Kawhi Leonard is making solid progress in his recovery from the sprained left ankle he sustained during the Western Conference Finals.
"He’s done some training, but I don’t think anybody’s pushing him to get back on the floor this time of year," Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said Monday. "It’s a good time, emotionally and physically, to take a break." Leonard is taking things slowly, which is perfectly understandable at this point in the calendar year, but there's no reason to believe that a sprained ankle suffered in May will impact his status for the 2017-18 season. He'll be an easy top-5 selection on draft day.
