President Phil Jackson met recently with Kristaps Porzingis' brother to discuss the issue with the Knicks exit meetings, according to Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News. The report adds this meeting accomplished very little. The big man didn't attend exit meetings back in April, which may have had to do with the Carmelo Anthony drama. Jackson has said he's looking to do more "on-scene, on-target mentoring" and he did show up for the NBA Draft Combine this year. Expect plenty of drama with the Knicks this summer.

Coach Jeff Hornacek said there is "no doubt" that Kristaps Porzingis will be a member of the Knicks next season. There was an ESPN report earlier this week that several teams had called the Knicks to gauge their possible interest in trading Porzingis after KP blew off his exit interview. However, other teams doing their due diligence does not mean the New York would even consider moving their franchise cornerstone. They would be foolish to engage in talks, as they have a promising young stud locked into a very affordable rookie-scale contract.

Kristaps Porzingis' brother and agent, Janis Porzingis, said the big man wants to remain with the Knicks. "[Kristaps] wants to stay in New York; he feels at home there," Janis said. "There is no question about it. The only thing he wants is for the Knicks to create an environment where he can develop and grow as a player and win." Porzingis' name has been in the rumor mill since he blew off his exit meeting with the Knicks and several teams have inquired about his availability, and Phil Jackson didn't help matters when he refused to call him untouchable in trade talks. A trade seems very unlikely, but if it does happen, Janis said his brother will "play out his contract and head into free agency, where he can choose his own destiny."

Kristaps Porzingis said that his Twitter account was hacked over the weekend. A tweet appeared on his account that said "LA Clippers" with three smiley faces, but it was deleted very quickly and Porzingis and his representatives made it clear that it did not come from the Knicks' franchise player. "I would never tweet something like that. I dont even use that emoji smiley face," Porzingis said. The timing was certainly interesting because Carmelo Anthony has been heavily linked to the Clippers and several teams inquired about Porzingis' availability after he blew off his exit meeting with the Knicks, but there's no reason to think that he's not telling the truth.

Several teams reached out to the Knicks to talk about possible trades for Kristaps Porzingis, according to Ian Begley of ESPN.com. The timing was after Porzingis skipped the exit interviews with Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills. The details are still unclear on the parameters of a trade and teams may have just been doing their due diligence. Expect plenty of drama surrounding the Knicks, Phil, Carmelo Anthony and more this summer.

Kristaps Porzingis wants Knicks assistant coach Joshua Longstaff as an assistant with the Latvian national team this summer. Longstaff has been an assistant coach since the Derek Fisher days and he also worked with Porzingis last summer. Porzingis has said he will try to come back to NY when he can, but he won't be setting a date. The Carmelo Anthony drama will be the main story for the Knicks this summer, but there will be plenty of KP rumors.

Kristaps Porzingis vaguely hinted that he could eventually leave the Knicks if the team isn't performing. "Absolutely, I want to stay here all my career,’’ Porzingis said. "But the thing I want most of all is winning. When the time comes, I will seriously start to think about it. Right now I just try to do my best." Porzingis will become a restricted free agent in 2018, so Knicks fans will be hoping for a quick turnaround so they can keep their franchise big man in town. Porzingis also announced that he will play for Latvia at Eurobasket this summer, so that's an indication that he's healthy after missing the final five games of the season with a back issue.

Kristaps Porzingis said he "of course" wants to play for the Knicks next season, despite recent friction between himself and the team. "I love New York. I love New York," said Porzingis, who recently skipped his exit interview with Phil Jackson due to the "drama" surrounding the team. He plans to play for the Latvian national team this summer, contrary to the Knicks' desire, but at the end of the day he's still under a guaranteed deal until hitting restricted free agency in 2018.

Kristaps Porzingis is planning a long trip back to Latvia that may not include a return to New York until closer to the start of training camp, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical. President Phil Jackson threw Carmelo Anthony under the bus and it would appear Porzingis is not happy about it. According to ESPN, KP wasn't at exit interviews because of "drama" surrounding the franchise. The Knicks continue to make news during the postseason despite not being in the playoffs.
