Pacers' president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard is reportedly considering playing Lance Stephenson at point guard next season. Pritchard has hinted on numerous occasions that he expects Stephenson to have an increased role with the Pacers next season, and with recent reports suggesting that Paul George could begin his 2017-18 campaign outside of Indiana, Stephenson could be forced into a much more substantial role with the Pacers. This report could also suggest that Pritchard is contemplating letting Jeff Teague walk as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. As for Born Ready's fantasy potential, him being utilized as a primary weapon on offense isn't necessarily a good thing, as we saw during his short stint with Charlotte.

Pacers' GM Kevin Pritchard implied that Lance Stephenson will have an increased role in Indiana next season. "Lance’s energy, and having two unique athletic wings in this business is a luxury, and I think we can build on that," said Pritchard. "As he gets more healthy, as he gets better in shape, we’re going to ask more of him." Stephenson came off the bench when he was signed late in the year, but Nat McMillan hinted he'll consider starting him next season. Born Ready put in averages of 13.8 points, 7.2 boards, 4.6 assists and 1.1 triples per game during his last season in Indiana three years ago, so he might be someone to consider spending a late-round pick on.

Pacers coach Nate McMillan said he's "open" to the idea of Lance Stephenson starting at shooting guard next season. Stephenson may have saved his career after his move back to the Pacers, and after a solid finish to the regular season, he was even better in the playoffs with averages of 16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.8 3-pointers on 50.9 percent shooting. "We really needed that boost, that energy, that kind of passion," McMillan said. Still only 26 years old, Stephenson has an excellent chance to hit the ground running in 2017-18.

Lance Stephenson got hot from beyond the arc during Sunday's Game 4 loss, tallying 22 points, four 3-pointers, six rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes off the bench. Stephenson was solid through this first-round series, pumping out averages of 16.0 points, 5.3 boards, 2.8 assists, 1.8 triples and just 1.0 turnover per game on 50.9 percent shooting. He’ll look to resurrect his career with the Pacers next season, and he might be someone to consider taking with a late-round flier in next year’s drafts.

Paul George said that Lance Stephenson needs to do a better job of controlling his emotions during Game 3. "He’s gotta learn to control himself, he’s gotta learn to just be in the moment," George said. "Lance, in our locker room, is looked upon as a leader. One of our leaders. His body language has to improve, just for the team. We all know Lance is an emotional guy. A lot of it is just his heart and his competitiveness that that emotion comes out on." Born Ready was visibly upset on a few defensive miscues during Indiana's Game 2 loss, but he's also brought some much-needed playmaking and defense to the Pacers' second unit. His minutes should again be in the mid-20s for Game 3 tonight.

Lance Stephenson scored 13 points on 6-of-13 shooting in Game 2 vs. the Cavaliers on Monday, adding four assists, two rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes. We saw good Lance and bad Lance tonight, and at one point coach Nate McMillan had to tell him to "calm down." He had the ball in his hands a ton just like Game 1 and made some good decisions for the most part, but coach McMillan made a mistake by putting him on Kevin Love on the defensive end in the second half -- the Cavs exploited that matchup several times and Stephenson picked up three fouls in the span of 90 seconds. He scored 16 points with seven rebounds and three assists in his previous outing, so he will continue to be a nice play in DFS until his price catches up to his production.

Pacers coach Nate McMillan isn't expecting to shake up his lineup for Game 2 vs. the Cavaliers on Monday. "Right now, the rotation we have hasn't hurt us," McMillan said when asked if Lance Stephenson would start ahead of Monta Ellis. "I think it's been pretty good for us. With Lance coming in, we're bringing energy off the bench." Stephenson looked great in Game 1 with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and no turnovers in 27 minutes, and while he may continue to come off the bench, he's a nice low-priced option in DFS until further notice. He could be looking at 30+ minutes tonight if he has the hot hand again.
