Lonzo Ball had a strong game against the Nets during a 115-106 win, making 4-of-12 from the field for 14 points with nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal, three turnovers and one 3-pointer. The Lakers continue to flirt with 100 points and this time they flew past that mark in a quarterfinal win. While Ball didn't shoot the rock well, he had some big rebounds and getting this win in a close game against a team with several players with NBA experience should count for something. Ball has his fingerprints all over how the team plays when he's on the court, especially when it comes to tempo and looking to hit a teammate leaking out. His shot selection is getting a little better and his improvement helps explain why the Lakers are winning games. If nobody rests, it'll be Lonzo vs. Dennis Smith Jr. on Sunday as must-see TV for NBA diehards.

Lonzo Ball turned in his second triple-double of Las Vegas Summer League during a 94-83 win over the Cavs on Thursday, scoring 16 points with 10 rebounds, 12 assists, five steals, two blocks, seven turnovers and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. That's quite the stat line and this game was more impressive than his first triple-double -- his 36-point game on Wednesday was his best, though. Ball's been very aggressive with his passes with a handful of passes going for about half the court. On the downside, there are the seven turnovers and Ball didn't shoot the ball very well in this game, making just 6-of-20 from the field. There has been some improvement on his shots in the paint, but Ball still hasn't hit his treys consistently. All told, he's been electric and the Lakers have to be satisfied with their franchise player.

Lonzo Ball (sore right groin) put on a mesmerizing show for the Lakers fans in Vegas on Wednesday, finishing with 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, five steals, two blocks and six turnovers. He's been stuffing the stat sheet in Vegas and made a procession of big plays to help L.A. erase a big deficit, showing a closer's instinct. He looked confident from all over the court, too, making 12-of-22 FGs, 3-of-10 threes and 9-of-12 FTs. The Summer League caveat applies and we'll get a better feel for his play vs. NBA competition in the preseason, but for now, just sit back and enjoy. From an entertainment standpoint, we hope he's not rested for Thursday's tournament game.

Lonzo Ball (groin) is expected to play against the 76ers on Wednesday. He's said he's been playing through his groin injury, but he didn't suit up against De'Aaron Fox on Monday. Ball did go through practice on Tuesday, so he likely didn't play on Monday as a precaution. The No. 2 pick turned in a triple-double on Saturday and should be the focal point tonight, assuming he's a go.

Lonzo Ball (sore groin) and Kyle Kuzma (cramps) were full participants during Tuesday's light practice. These guys will be re-evaluated on Wednesday, but them getting through Tuesday's practice is an encouraging sign. Kuzma is pretty much a lock to be cleared for Wednesday's exhibition, but Ball is less of a certainty considering he was dealing with an actual injury, albeit a minor one.

Lonzo Ball (sore groin) will not suit up for Monday's exhibition against the Kings. Ball's groin injury is not believed to be serious, but the Lakers want to play is safe and give him some extended rest rather than risk this thing turning into a lingering issue. Joining him on the sidelines will be Josh Hart (groin) and Kyle Kuzma (cramps), so it looks like that Lakers have brought tanking to Summer League.

Lonzo Ball turned in the first triple-double of the 2017 Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday, scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal, one block, and four turnovers. He controlled the tempo of the offense and he continues to find his teammates in transition. On the downside, Ball did only make 5-of-13 from the field in this loss, including just 1-of-5 from deep to make him just 2-of-16 from three in this event. President Magic Johnson did say the Lakers changed their starting lineup a bit to help Ball do more work in transition, so it would appear the Lakers want to be among the elite for pace this season. Despite the struggles with his shot, Ball has shown why he went No. 2 in the draft and he'll be a trendy fantasy pick.

Lonzo Ball had a pro debut to forget in a loss to the Clippers on Friday, making just 2-of-15 from the field for five points with four rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block, three turnovers and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes. Yeah, not great. Ball kept chucking in this overtime game and his poor shooting night didn't affect his confidence. Ball did have a great start to this game with a terrific alley-oop pass to Brandon Ingram on the very first possession (video in link below). There's obviously no reason to overreact to a sub-par start and he'll get a chance to bounce back against the Celtics on Saturday.

The Lakers have officially signed Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart. The Lakers were linked to George Hill on Monday, but they reportedly believe that Hill and Ball could share the backcourt, so it looks like regardless of who they bring in Ball will be starting for Los Angeles next season. With everyone officially signed, the rookies should all be ready to make their summer league debuts on Friday.

Lonzo Ball is expected to sign his four-year rookie deal on Monday. This means the No. 2 overall pick will be ready to roll for the Summer League. The Lakers have been linked to free agent PG Rajon Rondo, but they are still committed to Ball as their starting PG and are simply looking for a veteran mentor for the rookie.
