Lonzo Ball News

Lonzo Ball    G  Lakers

Ball (knee) has officially been ruled out for Friday's matchup with the Pacers, Bill Oram of the Orange County Register reports. It was reported a few days back that Ball was unlikely to play Friday, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. He'll sit out his third straight game because of a left knee sprain and will then have another couple days off going into Sunday's contest vs. the Knicks. In Ball's place Wednesday, Tyler Ennis (20 minutes) picked up the start, while Josh Hart (26 minutes) saw added run off the bench. Jordan Clarkson logged just 21 minutes in that game, but could also see an increased role Friday as well.

Luke Walton said he doesn't expect Lonzo Ball (knee) to play Friday vs. the Pacers. "From what I see he doesn’t look like he’s ready to start playing," said Walton. Wednesday will mark Ball's second straight game on the sidelines, and it sounds like there's a good chance that number will hit three on Friday night. Tyler Ennis will get a chance to start sans Ball, and there will be more minutes available for Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson is the most attractive fantasy target out of this group.

Ball (knee), who's already been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, is also unlikely to play Friday vs. the Pacers, Bill Oram of the Orange County Register reports. "From what I see he doesn't look like he's ready to start playing," coach Luke Walton said. Ball continues to work his way back from a left knee sprain and barring any surprise improvement with his health, there's a good chance he remains out the next two contests. That would bring Sunday's tilt with the Knicks as his next option for a return, though it will be worth it to monitor Ball's status over the next few days to make sure he's out as expected Friday. Tyler Ennis is the likely starter in his place, while Jordan Clarkson should also benefit as well.

Lonzo Ball (left knee) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, as expected. Ball was never expected to take the court tonight after sitting out Tuesday's practice, and with him watching from the sidelines, Tyler Ennis figures to earn another start with more minutes falling to Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson. The Lakers take on the Pacers on Friday, and for now, we'll be considering Ball questionable for that one.

Ball (knee) will not play during Wednesday's contest against the Thunder, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports. This is nothing unexpected, as Ball was listed as doubtful heading into morning shootaround. In his stead, Tyler Ennis and Jordan Clarkson will likely handle most of the point guard duties.

Lonzo Ball (knee) is doubtful to play Wednesday vs. the Thunder. Ball wasn't able to practice on Tuesday and head coach Luke Walton said he didn't expect Ball to be able to get out there on Wednesday night, so the doubtful tag confirms the obvious. Tyler Ennis figures to earn another start on Wednesday if Ball sits, and there will be more minutes available for guys like Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson.

Ball (knee) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports. With Ball's absence from practice Tuesday, all signs are pointing to the rookie missing his second straight game with a left knee sprain. Should Ball miss Wednesday's game in Oklahoma City, Tyler Ennis would be in line to get the start at point guard once again with both Jordan Clarkson and Gary Payton II filling in off the bench.

Ball (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Grizzlies, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports. As expected, Ball will be held out of Monday's contest with a left knee sprain. Tyler Ennis should be in line to get the start at point guard in the rookie's absence. Given that the injury is being described as minor, there's a solid chance Ball could return for Wednesday's against the Thunder.

Lonzo Ball (sprained left knee) will not play vs. Memphis on Monday. L.A. is erring on the side of caution, predictably, but it doesn't sound serious and an MRI has already ruled out structural damage. His absence opens up the backcourt for Tyler Ennis, Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson, and maybe we'll even see Gary Payton II in the rotation tonight. Owners should consider Ball questionable for Wednesday's game in OKC.
