Magic Johnson said the Lakers are tying to schedule another workout for Lonzo Ball. If Magic can make this happen, Ball will join Josh Jackson as the second player to visit with the Lakers twice. Ball was reportedly a little out of shape during his first visit, so maybe the Lakers want to give him another chance to prove himself. There have been many conflicting reports about what the Lakers will do with the second overall pick, but Ball is still considered the favorite to land in Los Angeles over the likes of Jackson and De'Aaron Fox.

The Lakers were "not impressed" with Lonzo Ball's conditioning during his workout last Wednesday, according to beat writer Mark Medina. Ball went through shooting drills and played 2-on-2 with assistant coaches, saying afterward, "Drills get you tired, so you got to stay focused." There have been mixed reports about L.A.'s desire to select him with the No. 2 pick in the draft, and this report only adds to the uncertainty.

Majority of executives at Adidas Euro Camp believe the Lakers will take Lonzo Ball with the second pick, according Scott Howard Cooper of NBA.com. Most reports do have the Lakers leaning Ball, but it's far from a lock. They're still going to look at De'Aaron Fox and they could add some length on the wing with Josh Jackson. Ball made it clear he wants to stay home to play for the Lakers, saying the team needs a leader and a point guard. Expect plenty of chatter to follow.

Lonzo Ball "didn’t blow the Lakers away or seal any deal" in their meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report. Ding has covered the Lakers for a long time, so this report is a legitimate one. Ball seemed to be saying the right things in his press conference and he reportedly shot the ball well in the workout on Wednesday, so he is still likely the favorite to go No. 2. The Lakers are going to workout De'Aaron Fox next week and there is some interest in Josh Jackson.

Lonzo Ball said the Lakers should draft him because they need a leader and a point guard. In his workout for the Lakers today, he also said "of course" he wants to play for the Lakers to stay home, and that he can guard three positions. He also answered a lot of questions about his dad and said that distraction hasn't affected him in high school in college, so he doesn't expect LaVar to affect him negatively in the NBA. Lonzo also said it's up to his agent for him to work out for other teams.

Luke Walton stated during an appearance on the Jim Rome Show that Lonzo Ball's father's outspoken nature will not impact what the Lakers do on draft day. "No, I wouldn't [be concerned about LaVar's opinionated nature]," said Walton. "We're in the NBA, to me, that's not an issue. Parents are always gonna have their opinions. They're gonna be outspoken at times. As you know, Jim, I have a very outspoken father myself. It doesn't bother me. If we were to draft him, we're gonna coach him." If the Lakers do go with Ball No. 2 overall, that could impact D'Angelo Russell's value next season.

Most front office executives around the league reportedly believe that the Lakers will go with Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 overall selection in the 2017 NBA draft. An earlier report from the Huffington Post indicated that the Lakers may be hesitant to draft Ball, but anonymous sources from various other journalists around the league have referred to that initial report as "just noise." There tends to be a lot of smoke and mirrors this time a year regarding the various draft prospects, but Ball's talent is undeniable, so it would be surprising to see him slide on draft day.

According to Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post, the Lakers "would pass" on Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 pick if the draft was today. Schultz adds that the Lakers aren't convinced that Lonzo is a star and that they are concerned about his father, LaVar. Lonzo is expected to work out for Philly who own the No. 3 pick and may work out for the Suns as well (No. 4), so his camp might be preparing for a slide. With that said, this could be a smokescreen and he's still the favorite to come off the board when the Lakers make their pick. His workout for Los Angeles is scheduled for June 7, so maybe we'll have a better idea of their thinking then. If the Lakers pass on Ball, Josh Jackson and De'Aaron Fox are the likely candidates to come off the board.

It's "not yet determined" if Lonzo Ball will work out for the 76ers, according to Tom Moore of Calkins Media. The only workout Ball seems to have is on June 7 for the Lakers, but the 76ers were viewed as a team that would get a workout for the top-five pick. Team adviser Jerry Colangelo did have some comments about LaVar Ball earlier this week, so maybe that's a factor for the team picking at No. 3. Ball looks like almost a lock to go second in the draft to the Lakers.
