Mike Conley News

Mike Conley (Achilles) will remain on the sidelines for Wednesday's game against the Wizards. Conley was hit with a rough 2-3 week timetable on November 29, but given we haven't had any reports of him ramping up his activities at practices, it looks like he probably won't get back until the end of Week-3 (December 20). Tyreke Evans will continue to start at the point with Conley unavailable, and it'll be Evans and Marc Gasol running the show on offense until he gets back.

Mike Conley (Achilles) said he won't return until he's 100 percent. "[Doctors] told me the Achilles can heal fully. I just have to give it time," Conley said. "I rush things a lot and when I come back ... [in the past] I might withhold that from the trainers to try and get on the court. I’ve done that over the years. Right now, I’m trying to do the smart thing, which is frustrating." He was doing some on-court work recently and added that he's taking things day-by-day. His timetable isn't set in stone, but the Grizzlies said on Nov. 29 that he would be back in 2-3 weeks.

Mike Conley (Achilles) did some on-court work on Thursday. The degree of his work isn't known, but chances are it wasn't much. Conley is expected to miss 2-3 more weeks and Mario Chalmers will return on Friday night. Tyreke Evans also benefits a lot here.

Conley (Achilles) is expected to return in two-to-three weeks. Conley has been going through therapy and treatment to alleviate the soreness in his left heel and Achilles, but still has a ways to go and the Grizzlies certainly aren't going to rush him back. With a two-to-three week timetable, Conley will miss at least the next nine games, and could miss up to a total of 12 depending on how the recovery process progresses. With Mario Chalmers (ankle) also out Wednesday, Tyreke Evans and Andrew Harrison are slated to see the bulk of the work at point guard.

Mike Conley (Achilles) is expected to return in 2-3 weeks. According to the team, he has progressed well through therapy and treatment to promote healing and alleviate soreness in his left heel and Achilles. Conley has been out since Nov. 13 and now it sounds like he may not make it back until closer to Christmas. With Mario Chalmers (ankle) also out, Tyreke Evans should be looking at big minutes while the Grizzlies will have to play Andrew Harrison more than they want to.

Conley (Achilles) has been ruled out indefinitely and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Peter Edmiston of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. Conley continues to deal with soreness in his Achilles and left heel and will undergo treatment over the next two weeks before being re-evaluated. It looks like his absence will extend beyond the two weeks, however, so it could be a while before the Grizzlies get their starting point guard back. In Conley's absence, Mario Chalmers and Tyreke Evans will continue to share ball-handling duties, with Evans benefitting the most, as he's posting his best numbers since his rookie season.

The Grizzlies have announced that Mike Conley (Achilles) will miss at least two more weeks. Here's the full statement from the team: "Conley will undergo therapy and treatment to help promote healing and alleviate soreness in his left heel and Achilles following consultations with physicians. There is no timetable for his return at this time. Further updates will be provided in approximately two weeks." Mario Chalmers is expected to remain the starter while Conley is sidelined. Chalmers is averaging 11.0 points and 6.0 assists in 27.4 over Memphis' last two games. Tyreke Evans will continue to log heavy minutes off the bench as well.

Conley (Achilles) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports. Conley has been dealing with a sore Achilles for much of the season, but was unable to go through the team's morning shootaround and has now been ruled out entirely for Wednesday's contest. Coach David Fizdale mentioned that Conley is getting day-to-day evaluations and maintenance on the Achilles, so it appears he'll continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis moving forward. Conley's next opportunity to play will be Saturday against the Rockets, but in the meantime, look for Mario Chalmers and Tyreke Evans to benefit the most in his absence.

Mike Conley (Achilles) will sit out against Indiana on Wednesday. He is day-to-day and it sounds like there could be additional maintenance on his foot going forward. Conley's fantasy value has dropped in a big way, and it could be a while before he's 100 percent. His value is probably too low to trade, so his fantasy owners may want to just sit tight until he can get it going again. Mike Conley is worth a look in 12-team leagues while Andrew Harrison should get minutes, as well. Tyreke Evans should be busy in the second unit.

Mike Conley (left Achilles) did not participate during shootaround and remains questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Pacers. Conley looks to be headed for a game-time call, but given his history with Achilles issues, the Grizzlies may want to play it safe and give him the night off. After Wednesday, the Grizzlies don't play again until Saturday, so if Conley sits that would give him a full four days to rest his sore left Achilles. Mario Chalmers will draw the start if Conley sits, and there will be more shots to go around for guys like Tyreke Evans and Marc Gasol. Stay tuned.
