Paul George News

Paul George    G/F  Thunder

Paul George scored 18 points with four rebounds, four assists, one block, five steals and one triple in 36 minutes against the Kings on Monday. The NBA's leader in steals was up to his usual tricks, as he was averaging 2.2 swipes per game prior to Monday and this was his 19th game of the season with three or more. He finished 7-of-17 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line, and now he gets a matchup with his hometown Lakers on Wednesday.

Paul George finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot across 35 minutes on Saturday in Charlotte. PG13 was slightly better than his performance on Wednesday in Minnesota, hitting 6-of-14 from the floor while adding 2-of-5 from behind the arc. His overall numbers are down this season, as he is averaging about three fewer points per game than in Indiana in 2016-17, and just about one more rebound per game less than last season. The only areas he has seen improvement is in steals per game (2.2 SPG) while hitting 3-pointers at a career-high clip (43.5 percent).

Paul George wasn't getting it done on the offensive end Wednesday in Minnesota, hitting just 5-of-14 from the floor for 13 points, so he helped out in other areas. PG13 was good for six rebounds, four assists and a blocked shot while adding a 3-pointer. It wasn't a great night, but at least he did a little something for his fantasy owners with his shot not falling, unlike teammate Carmelo Anthony who absolutely buried his owners. The Thunder will look for better results on Saturday night when the road trip continues in Charlotte.

George provided 19 points (5-14 FG, 3-8 $Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and a steal in 34 minutes during Sunday's 114-100 loss to the Suns. It wasn't a great shooting night for George as he only shot 35 percent from the floor and he also coughed up the ball five times. The Thunder seems to have shifted back to a Westbrook-driven offensive scheme as the distribution of wealth hasn't resulted in the kind of win-loss record the team was hoping for. Although George will occasionally pop up with a really big game, his numbers will rarely outdo Westbrook's production.

George posted 31 points (12-16 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot in 35 minutes during Thursday's 127-117 win over the Clippers. George has now scored at least 24 points in his last six games. The Thunder are now enjoying a streak of wins as the offense begins to gel, which is obviously good news for those who own George and Carmelo Anthony. George hit 57 percent of his shots and was 62, 5 percent from beyond the arc. The Thunder get a well-deserved few days of rest and look for George to keep his excellent play going against the Suns on Sunday.

Paul George scored 31 points with six rebounds, three assists, one block and five 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday. Make it five 30-point games on the season for PG-13 as he put the Clippers away with 10 points in the fourth and eight in the third. George's knee soreness hasn't really affected his stats in the three games before and the three games after the DNP on Dec. 29, averaging 27.2 points per game on a ridiculous 78.9 TS% and a 25.1 usage rate in those six. He won't be this good, but the NBA's leader in steals is cleaning up right now.

George accounted for 24 points (9-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three assists, two rebounds and three steals across 27 minutes in Wednesday's 133-96 win over the Lakers. George made the most of his modest playing time in the blowout win, scoring nearly a point per minute on the floor. It was an extension of what has been a successful stretch for the All-Star forward, one that's now seen him average 26.4 points on 58.7 percent shooting -- including 57.9 percent from three-point range -- along with 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.4 steals across his last five games. George is taking between 12 and 17 shot attempts on the majority of nights, leading to a fairly stable usage rate despite him having to share the floor with Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

Paul George had 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, three 3-pointers, three steals, three assists and two rebounds in 27 minutes on Wednesday. George confirmed that his knee felt fine after returning on Sunday, and it didn't appear to limit him tonight -- the low minutes were a result of the score. In other news, the L.A. native reiterated before the game that he "would’ve loved to go home to play for [his] city," this season, but said he has "no regrets at all" about landing in Oklahoma. That will do nothing to quell speculation that he's L.A.-bound as a free agent this summer.
