Paul George News

Paul George    G/F  Thunder

Paul George said he's not interested in playing for "multiple teams" throughout his career. "The decision I make will ultimately be to build something," said George of his upcoming free agency. "So, this next decision, whatever it is, is to make sure I'm there for a duration." PG-13 will be one of the biggest names to hit the open market this summer, and with L.A. roots and the Lakers having the ability to sign two max players this summer, Los Angeles could be an option. However, OKC is hoping that a deep playoff run will entice him to re-up there. We're in for a fun offseason.

Paul George hinted he knows what he'll do this offseason. To clarify, George was asked if he knows what he'll do this summer. "I don't," he said. "I know what I feel is best." So if he knows it, does he have an idea of his plan? Russell Westbrook also suggested that he thinks PG is going to stay, so this will obviously be a huge story this summer.

Paul George hit 10-of-15 shots and 6-of-9 3-pointers for 28 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 38 minutes, recording an incredibly efficient line in Wednesday's 121-114 win over the Grizzlies. Carmelo Anthony could learn something from PG-13's efficiency, and hit 7-of-18 shots and four 3-pointers for 19 points and almost nothing else. George has blended in nicely with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder have a slew of teams sniffing their tails for a playoff berth in the West. George needs to continue to play at a high level if the Thunder are going to survive, so look for more big lines coming his way going forward. The Nuggets, Pelicans and Blazers are just one game back of the No. 5 Thunder, while the Clippers and Jazz are also in striking distance.

Paul George exploded for a game-high 33 points over 35 minutes in Sunday's 110-92 win against the Grizzlies. George was on fire, and he benefited from the fact Carmelo Anthony (ankle) and Russell Westbrook (ankle) were both sidelined. PG13 hit 10-of-24 from the field, including 5-of-10 from behind the 3-point line, while adding eight assists, three steals and a blocked shot. With or without the other starts, George remains an obvious must-start, but it is certainly nice when he is the primary scoring option.

Paul George scored a game-high 38 points in Tuesday's 125-105 win over the Warriors, hitting 11-of-23 shots and 10-of-12 free throws. This was one of the best two-way games of his career. Russell Westbrook carried OKC early, but George took over in the second half, adding five rebounds, three assists, six steals and six triples. The NBA's leader in steals is already is flirting with first-round value in standard 9-category leagues and should see a bump in value if Carmelo Anthony misses time with his ankle sprain -- Melo played just six minutes tonight. George gets a matchup with his hometown Lakers on Thursday, a team that he's been linked to for years.

George tallied 26 points (10-19 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 108-104 loss to the Lakers. After a poor shooting night in his previous game, George was able to turn things around going 10-of-19 from the field for 26 points. George has been ticking along nicely and despite the strong play of the team's superstars, the Thunder now find themselves in a four-game slump. Things won't get any easier for the Thunder as they travel to California to face the Warriors in what could be an uptempo matchup.

Paul George went 10-of-19 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line during Sunday's loss to the Lakers, on his way to 26 points in 40 minutes. PG-13 also added three triples, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and four turnovers, and he was just one of four players for OKC to connect on at least 50% of his shot attempts. Terrance Ferguson started again, but remained invisible, finishing with just one steal and one turnover across 11 scoreless minutes.

George totaled 15 points (4-16 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Friday's 114-100 loss to the Pelicans. After exploding for 43 points in his previous outing, George struggled from the field in this one. He went just 4-of-16 from the floor while failing to have much of an impact on the game. He has scored at least 20 points in six of his previous seven games and has a chance to pick right back up when the Lakers come visiting Sunday.
