Paul Millsap News

Paul Millsap (wrist surgery) could return in "two weeks ... [but] it could be four weeks," according to coach Mike Malone. The Nuggets expect more clarity after Millsap visits doctors next week. He went through parts of practice on Wednesday and a return in early- or mid-March sounds plausible, so make sure he's not still floating on your waiver wire. Malone suggested that Millsap might come off the bench initially, as he works himself back into game shape, but it shouldn't take long before he's starting alongside Nikola Jokic.

Coach Mike Malone said Paul Millsap (wrist) could be back in early-mid March. It did sound like maybe he could have his power forward back later this month, but that's apparently not the case. Millsap is progressing right now and he's been using both of his hands in on-court work, including even more work on Wednesday. He obviously needs to he added in all leagues while Mason Plumlee (calf), Trey Lyles and Wilson Chandler will take hits.

Paul Millsap (wrist) has progressed to significant on-court work and is ramping up his conditioning. Coach Mike Malone hinted that Millsap's return will be after the All-Star break. "There are good days and bad days," Malone added. Millsap has been able to do some work with his left hand, and is working on getting his range of motion back. He needs to be owned in all leagues and his return would take minutes from Mason Plumlee, and possibly Wilson Chandler and Trey Lyles.

Millsap (wrist) has increased his conditioning work lately and has progressed to being able to dribble and pass with his left hand, Harrison Wind of BSNDenver.com reports. All indications are that Millsap's timetable for a return -- around the All-Star break -- remains the same, but this is certainly a milestone in his recovery. Once he does return, coach Michael Malone will have some tough rotational decisions to make. In Millsap's absence, both Trey Lyles and Mason Plumlee have flashed some high upside. Both players' fantasy values could take hits as a result of Millsap's return.

Millsap (wrist) has shed his cast and is targeting a return at some point near the All-Star break, Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports reports. It was previously reported that Millsap wasn't expected back before the break and while that will likely still be the case, coach Michael Malone didn't exactly rule out a return earlier. "All reports I get from (Director of Sports Medicine) Steve Short and our medical guys is that not only is the injury and surgery looking like it's going well, and the recovery from that, but I think the conditioning -- he's back on the court doing some basketball-related activities", coach Malone said. "And now with the cast off I think we can even ramp that up more. So, not to get too excited, not to put the cart before the horse, but they said initially that the All-Star Break, before or after, was the timeline and I think he's still on that timeline." It appears Millsap is progressing quicker than expected and the fact that he's already attempting to get his conditioning in order will only speed up the process once he's cleared for full-contact practices. Continue to monitor his status moving forward and for now, it appears Millsap is targeting a date near the All-Star break for a return.

Paul Millsap (left wrist surgery) had his cast removed on Tuesday. To be clear, Millsap still isn't expected back until after the All-Star break, but this is a small step in the right direction. We'll continue to track Millsap's progress every step of the way, but if you're in a league without an IR-spot, it's probably still a bit too early to stash him.
