VP of Basketball Operations John Paxson said that "there's a really good chance" Rajon Rondo will be on the Bulls' roster for the 2017-18 season.
The Bulls will have until June 30 to buyout Rondo for $3 million, but for now, it looks as though they're committed to keeping him on the roster. It was an up-and-down season for Rondo, but he was a top-50 guy after the break when he put in averages of 10.3 points, 5.2 boards, 7.1 dimes, 1.8 steals, 1.1 triples and 2.4 turnovers per contest. It also helps that both Fred Hoiberg and Jimmy Butler had high praise for Rondo at the season's end. His outlook will improve if Dwyane Wade opts to leave as a free agent.
