Rodney Hood has been diagnosed with a right knee sprain and will not return to Monday's Game 4 vs. the Warriors, finishing with two points, two boards and one assist in 14 minutes.
The Jazz ruled him out after just a couple minutes in real time after he went back to the locker room. This is the same knee that has bothered Hood all season and the Jazz will likely run some additional tests on him -- he's expected to have an MRI, but the injury is not believed to be more serious than a sprain according to Jazz reporter Tony Jones. With the Jazz about to be swept on their home floor, Hood will have plenty of time to rest up in the offseason. He regressed in his third season, averaging 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.9 3-pointers on 40.8 percent shooting. He also appeared in just 59 regular-season games.
