Rudy Gobert News

Rudy Gobert    C  Jazz

Gobert (knee) will miss at least another week, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Gobert has been out since Dec. 15 with a sprained left knee, and an evaluation Saturday revealed that he'll need at least another 7-to-10 days before returning to full-speed work. The center has been participating in light practices in recent days but has not yet been cleared to take any contact. Assuming Gobert sits out through next weekend, he'll miss at least four more contests, and that could be on the low end considering the Jazz will likely try to get him back for a full practice or two before clearing him for game action. In the meantime, expect Derrick Favors to continue to start at center in a more small-ball-oriented lineup.

Rudy Gobert (knee) was re-evaluated on Saturday and it was determined that he'll need to spend another 7-10 days on the sidelines. Gobert has recently begun going through light practices with non-contact work, so he is making progress. That said, until he's going through 5-on-5, full-contact work, we can assume he's not close. Derrick Favors will continue to hold down the five-spot in his absence, with Thabo Sefolosha and Jonas Jerebko moving in and out of the starting five based on the matchup.

Rudy Gobert (knee) has begun participating in non-contact portions of practice. Gobert is still out for Friday's game and he doesn't have a firm return date, but this is encouraging news nonetheless. He was diagnosed with a sprained PCL in his left knee and a bone bruise in his left tibia, and was given an initial timetable of approximately one month on Dec. 16. It's reasonable to think he could return in mid- to late-January, therefore, and the next step is likely for him to start taking contact.

Gobert (knee) is participating in non-contact portions of practice, but will remain sidelined for Friday's game against the Hornets, Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune reports. It was reported a few weeks back that Gobert was still on track for a mid-January return and that appears to potentially be within reach now that Gobert is going through non-contact work. He'll eventually need to go through a full-contact practice or two at some point prior to being cleared, so he may still be a week or so away. Gobert has officially been ruled out for Friday's contest, which would then make Monday's game against the Pacers his next opportunity to take the floor. Continue to monitor his status over the next few days, with another update likely coming when Gobert ramps up his practice activity again.

Gobert (knee), who was evaluated Saturday, is expected to remain sidelined for another two weeks. This update from the Jazz simply means that Gobert is still on track for his original timetable of a mid-January return. He'll be re-evaluated in two weeks time, in the hope of singling out a specific return date.

After an exam on Saturday, Rudy Gobert (knee) will be re-evaluated again in two more weeks. The team announced he is "showing progress to make a return" from his knee sprain back on Dec. 15. Gobert was expected to miss about one month, so that still seems like it's a possible target. His fantasy owners should keep him stashed while Derrick Favors gets a boost to start 2018.

Gobert (knee) is set to be reevaluated on Saturday, Jazz radio play-by-play announcer David Locke reports. It was reported on Dec. 16 that Gobert was expected miss a month with a sprained PCL and bone bruise in his left knee, so Saturday will only be two weeks since that original timetable was reported. For that reason, it seems unlikely that a return is imminent, though Saturday's reevaluation should shed further light on how he's progressing. Gobert will remain out for at least the next two games and further word on a timetable should come Saturday. In the meantime, Derrick Favors should continue to start at center in his place, with Jonas Jerebko, Ekpe Udoh and Thabo Sefolosha seeing expanded roles as well.

Rudy Gobert (knee) will be re-evaluated this week and his status is expected to be updated on Saturday. This is right on schedule with the Jazz officially announcing Gobert will be updated on the 30th. However, Yahoo! Sports reports that Gobert is going to miss two more weeks from this PCL injury. Derrick Favors will have what should be a couple weeks of strong value, but nobody else is really stepping up.

The Jazz announced Rudy Gobert (knee) will be re-evaluated in two weeks. As reported earlier, an MRI revealed Gobert has a sprained PCL and a bone bruise. The Vertical report said Gobert is expected to miss about a month, but he's going to miss two weeks at the very least. While he's out, Derrick Favors (eye) should handle the center spot once he's back. If Favors is also out, Ekpe Udoh will be the center while the Jazz run with Jonas Jerebko and a lot of multi-wing lineups.
