Russell Westbrook piled up 31 points, 10 assists, five rebounds, five 3-pointers and one block during Sunday's tough 115-113 loss to the visiting Wolves.
In OKC's first two games this year, Westbrook's usage rate had fallen to 27.2 percent -- nowhere near last year's 41.4 percent. Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George both had slight increases in their usage from last year. With the game hanging in the balance tonight, however, Westbrook had the ball in his hands on every possession. He made clutch baskets, found Carmelo Anthony for a critical 3-pointer, and generally looked like the offensive 'alpha'. That's what his owners want to see.
