T.J. Warren News

T.J. Warren    F  Suns

T.J. Warren racked up 31 points with five rebounds and two assists over 42 minutes in Saturday's 123-113 loss against the visiting Nuggets. Warren was extremely efficient, going 13-of-17 from the field. The only thing fantasy owners can complain about is that he was 5-of-9 from the free-throw line, but he is entered shooting just 75.3 percent from the stripe so it wasn't a big departure from the norm. He has scored 20 or more points in seven of his past nine outings to please his fantasy owners.

T.J. Warren scored 24 points in Tuesday's 112-93 loss to the Lakers, hitting 9-of-22 shots and 6-of-10 free throws with six rebounds, three assists and four steals in 36 minutes. Warren did have a scary moment when he slammed his head into the court after his shot was blocked, and while he stayed on the court for about a minute holding his head, he didn't go back to the locker room and was able to finish the game. Concussion symptoms can appear later on, so it's not a complete lock that he's out of the woods. He gets a 3.3 usage rate bump with Devin Booker (hip, ribs) off the floor and will be a strong play once again on Wednesday vs. the Spurs, but double check to make sure he's not on the injury report.

Warren accounted for 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 37 minutes in Sunday's 115-110 loss to the Hornets. The fourth-year forward had uncharacteristically taken just five shot attempts and scored four points on Friday versus the Jazz, so Sunday's effort was much more along the lines of his usual production. The 24-year-old has scored at least 20 points in five of the last six contests, and he's shooting over 50.0 percent for the third time in his first four seasons. His razor-sharp work from the field keeps his fantasy value robust across all formats, although it remains to be seen if Josh Jackson's ongoing emergence as an offensive threat progressively eats into Warren's overall usage.

Warren totaled just four points (2-5 FG), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 25 minutes in Friday's 129-97 loss to the Jazz. The star wing's sudden downturn in involvement on the offensive end was striking, as both his shot attempts and point total set or equaled a season low. Warren has been an impressively steady source of superior shooting percentages and scoring throughout the season, so Friday's unsightly line was a clear outlier. While rookie Josh Jackson's recent emergence as a more consistent offensive presence figures to have some effect on Warren's overall usage, he clearly projects to be much more of a factor than he was against the Jazz. He'll look to bounce back when the Suns tangle with the Hornets on Sunday.

T.J. Warren scored four points with one rebound, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes against the Jazz on Friday. The Suns got worked by Donovan Mitchell, so a lot of the starters lost playing time. Don't worry about Warren at all here and expect him to score 20 his next time out.

Warren scored 20 points (10-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT) while adding four rebounds, four assists and a steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 102-88 win over the Mavericks. He's now hit for at least 20 points in four straight games and eight of his last nine, averaging 21.1 points, 4.0 boards, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals over that stretch. The rebuilding Suns are still very much a work in progress, but Warren is at least emerging as a solid secondary scoring option alongside Devin Booker.

T.J. Warren scored 20 points with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one turnover in 37 minutes against the Mavs on Wednesday. Tony Buckets continues to live up to his nickname with four straight 20-plus scoring games and hitting that mark in eight of his last nine games. Warren's steals have also seen a nice upward trend recently and he ends his January with a tidy 56.8 percent from the field, adding averages of 21.3 points, 4.2 boards, 1.7 dimes, 1.2 steals, 0.7 blocks and 0.5 treys. Keep him going and he could be even better going forward.

T.J. Warren scored a team-high 24 points in Monday's loss to the Grizzlies, hitting 10-of-18 from the field and 4-of-6 from the line. He got a small bump with Devin Booker (ribs) out (his usage rate goes from 24.1 to 28.9 with Booker off the floor), but it sounds like Phoenix's star guard could be back on Wednesday vs. Dallas. Warren added seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in what was his seventh game with 20+ points out of his last eight. He's been on fire in January and has been a top-50 player in standard 9-category leagues over the past month.

Warren scored 24 points (9-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT) to go along with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 39 minutes during Sunday's 113-102 loss to the Rockets. Warren went to work offensively, knocking down 64 percent of his shot attempts and going perfect from the charity stripe to finish third among all scorers. This efficient performance continued a solid run of production for the fourth-year forward, who's scored at least 20 points in 12 of his last 15 outings. Warren should continue to see plenty of looks as the team's clear No. 2 option behind Devin Booker, and he could see some extra looks with the latter serving as the team's point guard for the time being.
