Tyson Chandler News

Tyson Chandler    C  Suns

Tyson Chandler (neck spasms) will not play on Friday vs. the Clippers. Chandler is visiting a specialist but we haven't heard any results yet. Either way, we probably won't see much of him the rest of the season with the Suns embracing the tank. Expect to see a lot of Alex Len tonight and maybe some center minutes for Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss.

Tyson Chandler (neck) is getting an MRI on Thursday. He is not practicing today and there's a very good chance he's going to miss time with this injury. Chandler missed Wednesday's game before the break last week and apparently the week off didn't help too much. Of course, the Suns have said they don't plan to rest guys, but they'll likely be very, very careful with putting Chandler on the court. Alex Len could be in a decent spot to produce, but he really needs to show he can stay on the floor for over a week with decent minutes.

Tyson Chandler (neck) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game vs. Utah. Chandler logged 18 minutes in his return to the lineup on Monday, but is far from 100 percent. Dragan Bender will start at center for the Suns on Wednesday. Alex Len and Marquese Chriss will see an uptick in minutes off the bench.

Tyson Chandler (neck) is questionable to play vs. Utah on Wednesday. The veteran logged 18 minutes in his return as a starter on Monday, but less than 24 hours later he's back on the injury report. Most fantasy owners would love to see him shut down, to avoid the daily guessing game in the Suns' frontcourt. If he does miss time, Dragan Bender, Alex Len and Marquese Chriss all stand to gain a bit.

Tyson Chandler (neck) returned to action on Monday vs. the Warriors, scoring eight points with nine rebounds in 18 minutes. He probably would've played more if the Suns weren't down by 687 points at halftime. All kidding aside, Chandler will likely be in a timeshare with Alex Len going forward, but he's an obvious shut-down candidate.

Tyson Chandler (neck) will start on Monday vs. the Nuggets. He was limited at Sunday's practice, but he was listed as probable on the injury report and is ready to return from a two-game absence. In other Suns news, Devin Booker (hip) is still out and Tyler Ulis (back) remains questionable. With Chandler active, that means less minutes at the five for Dragan Bender.

Tyson Chandler (neck) was a limited participant at Sunday's light practice. There's not much incentive for Chandler to play at less than 100%, so him being limited at Sunday's practice isn't a great sign regarding his status for Monday's game against the Warriors. If he's out again, there will be more minutes for Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss and Alex Len, with Bender offering the most upside.

Tyson Chandler (neck) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. Denver. This is Chandler's second straight game on the shelf. Coach Jay Triano declined to say who would start at center Saturday night. Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss started together in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs, while Alex Len logged 18 minutes off the bench.

Tyson Chandler (neck) will not play vs. the Spurs on Wednesday. He has a sore neck, but Chandler not playing on a back-to-back set is hardly a surprise. Chandler is expected to play in back-to-back sets moving forward, and the Suns are reportedly having a tough time trading him. All bets are off on what they'll do without Chandler and Alex Len has looked bad. Maybe we see Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss start together, and perhaps Alec Peters is behind him.
