Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek praised Willy Hernangomez after he scored 24 points with 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block vs. the Spurs on Saturday.
"He’s getting better and better every game,’’ Hornacek said. "The experience against this team with LaMarcus [Aldridge], [Dewayne] Dedmon, Pau [Gasol], those are long, long guys. You see how smart a player he is. He didn’t try to jump over the guys and challenge them — he shot his little floaters over them.’’ Hornacek said he isn't ready to commit to Hernangomez as the starting center for the 2017-18 season, but with Joakim Noah suspended for the first 12 games of that campaign, the rookie has to be the heavy favorite. He should be owned in all standard leagues.
