Enes Kanter is being detained in Romania after his passport was "canceled" by the Turkish embassy on Saturday morning.
Kanter is traveling throughout Europe as part of his 2017 Enes Kanter Light Foundation global tour. He posted a video on Twitter explaining that police officers had been holding him in Budapest for hours. "The reason behind it is just, of course, my political views," said Kanter. "And the guy who did it is Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey. He's a bad, bad man. He is a dictator, and he's the Hitler of our century." ESPN is reporting that the Thunder are working with the league office to gather information.
