Dario Saric    F  76ers

Dario Saric, Joel Embiid and Malcolm Brogdon are the finalists for Rookie of the Year. This one is going to be a close one with The Process clearly being the best rookie last season, but only playing in 31 games is definitely going to cost him some votes. Meanwhile, Saric went off as arguably Philly's best player after the break, averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 boards, 3.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.4 treys in his final 25 games. Brogdon was very consistent all year as a secondary weapon on the Bucks, but he'll certainly get some consideration.

Jahlil Okafor    C  76ers

76ers GM Bryan Colangelo said he's still open to the idea of keeping Jahlil Okafor. In other words, Colangelo is having a tough time finding a suitor for the big man. "I want to find a situation that’s great for us and great for Jahlil, and if that means him staying here then that’s great," Colangelo said. "He’s a great kid and a great player and we’re going to see how he fits with this group." Joel Embiid (knee) is expected to be a full go for the 2017-18 season and Okafor was outplayed by Richaun Holmes down the stretch, so it's hard to imagine him helping fantasy owners if he remains in Philly.

Furkan Korkmaz    G  76ers

Furkan Korkmaz is unlikely to join the 76ers for the 2017-18 season. The 26th overall pick in the 2016 draft is expected to remain in Europe for at least one more season -- the 76ers have 11 players under contract for 2017-18 and have two first-round picks and four second-round picks. The 76ers are also expected to be busy in free agency with a lot of cap space to work with, and J.J. Redick is a rumored target. To make things even more complicated for Korkmaz, he has two years left on his deal and the 76ers would have to negotiate a buyout to bring him to the states.

Ben Simmons    F  76ers

76ers GM Bryan Colangelo said Ben Simmons (foot) is "doing very well." Simmons has progressed to 3-on-3 drills and has been working out for over a month. A report back on April 12 indicated that Simmons is "fully healed," but the 76ers are still erring on the side of caution and are ramping up his workload very slowly. He's not expected to play in the Summer League, but it sounds like he's on track to be ready for training camp.

Joel Embiid    F/C  76ers

Joel Embiid said he intends to play every game of the 2017-18 season. "[My offseason goal is to] make sure my body's ready because I think next year I'll be able to play almost every game," Embiid said. "Just make sure my body's ready to take on the toll of the NBA schedule, back-to-backs, but I intend to play every game and we're going to see how it goes." He had surgery to repair a torn left meniscus back in March, but he's expected to be back on the court in 2-3 weeks. Embiid will have another scan in the upcoming weeks, and he's hoping to be cleared for jumping and 5-on-5 drills in the near future.

Joel Embiid    F/C  76ers

Joel Embiid (knee) said on Tuesday that his rehab is going great and that he will be "back on the court in two to three weeks." Embiid had surgery to repair a torn left meniscus on March 24th. This is the first update we've had since Embiid had the arthroscopic procedure done. He will obviously have plenty of time to recover and get ready for training camp next fall. Embiid will be one of the more fiercely debated players heading into fantasy drafts next season. His upside is incredible, but the injury history makes him a remarkably risky picks in the early rounds.

Robert Covington    G/F  76ers

The 76ers are hoping to sign Robert Covington to a contract extension during the offseason. He currently has one of the best contracts in the NBA as he's scheduled to make $1.5 million for the final year of his deal. The 76ers can't afford to risk letting Covington walk as an unrestricted free agent next summer, so an extension is likely a top priority for the franchise. The forward had surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee back in mid-April, but he should be cleared to resume basketball activities sometime in June. The 26-year-old wing is a fantasy stud and posted averages of 12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.9 steals and 2.0 treys on his way to a top-40 finish in standard leagues.

Ben Simmons    F  76ers

Sixers coach Brett Brown said that he believes Ben Simmons will not play in any summer league games. Brown did say that Simmons continues to make progress, but it appears that the Sixers will err on the side of caution and keep Simmons out of game action. With the inordinate number of injuries Philadelphia has had to deal with, it is an understandable approach.

Ben Simmons    F  76ers

Ben Simmons (foot) posted a video of himself dunking during a workout at the Sixers training complex on Thursday. Simmons received clearance from the Philadelphia medical staff to start working out last month. He has now ramped up the activity to include live ball drills. In the video linked to below, Simmons spins by a defender and dunks over a separate workout partner. It will be interesting to see if Simmons plays in the Summer League in July. As of now, it appears the Sixers are leaning towards keeping him on the sidelines.
