Grizzlies News

Mike Conley    G  Grizzlies

Mike Conley (eye) is not on the injury report for Friday's game against the Knicks. That means he should be good to go for this one after he missed Wednesday. Coach David Fizdale said there was some swelling on Conley's head, but it did sound more precautionary. The Grizzlies are basically locked in to the No. 7 seed and they've managed Conley before, so he could get a game off the rest of the way. For now, expect him to be ready on Friday.

Andrew Harrison    G  Grizzlies

Harrison (ankle) returned from a three-game absence and registered 12 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 37 minutes during a 103-100 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.

Tony Allen    G  Grizzlies

Allen (eye) returned from a one-game absence and contributed 14 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals across 28 minutes during a 103-100 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.

Marc Gasol    C  Grizzlies

Gasol produced 23 points (8-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two steals across 33 minutes during a 103-100 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.

James Ennis    F  Grizzlies

James Ennis headed back to the bench with Tony Allen (eye) active on Wednesday. Ennis was scoreless in seven minutes. Cut him loose if you picked him up for temporary value.

Tony Allen    G/F  Grizzlies

Tony Allen (eye) had 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in 28 minutes vs. OKC on Wednesday. Allen started the game, sending James Ennis back to the bench. The fact that Allen sat out Tuesday's game should reduce the likelihood of a DNP-CD down the stretch, although the Grizzlies' loss tonight does make it a near-certainty that they won't overtake OKC for the No. 6 seed.

Apr 05 - 11:14 PM

JaMychal Green    F/C  Grizzlies

JaMychal Green (shoulder) was in the starting lineup on Wednesday, but he played only 19 minutes to finish with three points and four rebounds. Green didn't shoot the ball well, obviously, but this is the second straight game in which he's logged under 20 minutes. Memphis could just be playing it safe, given the back-to-back games, but there's too much risk to rely on Green with three games left on the schedule.

Apr 05 - 11:13 PM

Andrew Harrison    G  Grizzlies

Andrew Harrison started in place of Mike Conley (eye) on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with three rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in a home loss vs. OKC. Conley had a cut above his right eye that swelled up and coach David Fizdale said before the game, "That blow to the head was just too much." It's unclear whether Conley might miss more games, but if he does Harrison will be worth a look for streaming and DFS value.

Apr 05 - 11:12 PM

Marc Gasol    C  Grizzlies

Marc Gasol (foot) finished Wednesday's game with 23 points (8-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, four blocks, three 3-pointers and two steals. Gasol missed five games before returning on Tuesday, and the fact that he played in back-to-back contests bodes very well for his health. The big man has now made multiple 3-pointers in 30 games during his career, all of which have come this season, adding a welcome wrinkle to his fantasy profile. Tonight's loss basically cements Memphis as the No. 7 seed, with a looming first-round battle vs. the Spurs.
