Grizzlies News

JaMychal Green    F/C  Grizzlies

JaMychal Green (shoulder) will play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs. This is actually a bit surprising, as there was a report that Green could miss two more games. He has missed three games in a row, so expect his minutes to be somewhat limited tonight. With Marc Gasol (foot) also returning, Zach Randolph, Brandan Wright and James Ennis will lose some value. Green isn't an exciting pickup.

Tony Allen    G/F  Grizzlies

Tony Allen (left eye) will not play Tuesday vs. San Antonio. This the first game a back-to-back for Memphis, so it is not surprising to see Allen sidelined. Troy Daniels is expected to draw the start. Wade Baldwin and Vince Carter will also likely see an uptick in minutes.

Marc Gasol    C  Grizzlies

Marc Gasol (left foot strain) will play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs. JaMychal Green (shoulder) is also going to give it a go, while Tony Allen (eye) will sit out. Gasol will be returning from a five-game absence and the Grizzlies have already locked up their playoff spot, so expect him to have playing time restrictions. Season-long owners should obviously deploy him, though. Brandan Wright, Zach Randolph and even James Ennis will lose value with Gasol and Green back.

JaMychal Green    F/C  Grizzlies

JaMychal Green (shoulder) is "progressing toward a return," but reportedly could miss two more games this week. Green has missed the past three games with shoulder tendinitis and is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs. The Grizzlies also play Wednesday vs. OKC and Friday vs. New York. At this point, it seems likely that Memphis will hold him out of the back-to-back set and bring him back Friday. We should have a clear update after Tuesday's shootaround. If Green can't play, James Ennis will continue to draw starts and log heavy minutes.

Andrew Harrison    G  Grizzlies

Andrew Harrison (ankle) is being listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs. He's sat out the past two, but it sounds like he'll be ready to go on Tuesday night. If Harrison is able to get back out there, Wade Baldwin could lose some minutes, but neither of these guys can be relied upon in most leagues.

Tony Allen    G/F  Grizzlies

Tony Allen (left eye) is questionable for Tuesday's game in San Antonio. The Grindfather is due for a rest day, so don't be surprised if he sits out Tuesday's game, which will be the first of a tough back-to-back set against the Spurs and the Thunder. If Allen is forced to the sidelines, we could see Troy Daniels get the start, and there would be more minutes available for guys like Wade Baldwin and Vince Carter. Check back for another update following Tuesday morning's shootaround.
