Grizzlies News

Mario Chalmers    G  Grizzlies

Mario Chalmers (ankle, rest) will sit out Wednesday's game in San Antonio. Chalmers is taking the night off, but he'll be back in action for Friday rematch with the Spurs in Memphis. Andrew Harrison could get the start tonight with Mike Conley (Achilles) still out, or interim head coach J.B. Bickerstaff could roll with Tyreke Evans at the point. Either way, Evans is the more attractive fantasy play, and he could be in for a big night with the Grizzlies so banged up.

Mario Chalmers    PG  Grizzlies

Chalmers (ankle) will be a game-time call for Wednesday's matchup with the Spurs, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports. Chalmers is dealing with a sore right ankle and it appears he'll try and test it out during pregame warmups to determine whether or not he'll be able to play through it. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that there'd be some "noticeable" changes to the lineup and/or rotation tonight, so even if Chalmers does play, there's no guarantee he's in the same role he has been over the last few weeks. Andrew Harrison and Tyreke Evans are both candidates to start if Chalmers sits out, though it will be a situation to monitor up until tip off.

Chandler Parsons    SF  Grizzlies

Parsons (knee) went through shootaround, but will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup with the Spurs, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports. Parsons was originally given a probable designation after leaving Sunday's game early with right knee tightness. However, it appears the Grizzlies have pulled back a little there and will now wait until after pregame warmups to make a final decision on his availability. Parsons has been working with the top unit over the last few weeks, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff said after shootaround that there'd be some "noticeable" changes with the lineup and/or rotation Wednesday, so it's unclear what Parsons role will ultimately be if cleared.

Chandler Parsons    F  Grizzlies

Chandler Parsons (knee) is a game-time call against the Spurs on Wednesday. It was somewhat surprising Parsons was spotted at LAX on Tuesday following a game in Memphis on Sunday and today's game in San Antonio. With Coach J.B. Bickerstaff saying some changes could be coming, maybe the Grizzlies go back to playing Parsons at the four off the bench. Even though he was probable to play on Wednesday, he's really tough to count on in fantasy today or in the short term.

Mario Chalmers    G  Grizzlies

Mario Chalmers (right ankle) and Chandler Parsons (knee) will be game-time decisions for Wednesday's matchup with the Spurs. If Chalmers isn't able to give it a go tonight, we could see Andrew Harrison move into the starting five, or Interim head coach J.B. Bickerstaff could go with Tyreke Evans at the point. Bickerstaff did hint that he'll make some "noticeable" changes to the rotation for tonight's game, and with how well Evans has been playing, he'd be one of the more obvious candidates for more minutes. Parsons got through shootaround, but he could be a guy that falls out of the starting lineup.

Wayne Selden    SG  Grizzlies

Selden has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. This marks five straight absences for Selden, who has only appeared in two games for the Grizzlies so far this season. He still has no timetable for a return and will continue to be evaluated on a game-by-game basis until Memphis provides another update.

Brandan Wright    PF  Grizzlies

Wright (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. This will be Wright's fourth straight absence and he remains without a timetable for a return. Look for Deyonta Davis and Jarrell Martin to continue seeing the bulk of frontcourt minutes available off the bench.

Mario Chalmers    PG  Grizzlies

Chalmers is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs with a right ankle injury. Exactly when Chalmers suffered the injury is currently unreported, but there is at least some doubt regarding his status for Wednesday's night outing in San Antonio. Expect another update to come on the point guard following the team's shootaround in the morning, but in the event that he is unable to play, Andrew Harrison could draw the start at point guard with Tyreke Evans having to take on additional minutes as a floor leader.

Chandler Parsons    SF  Grizzlies

Parsons (knee) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. Parsons left Sunday's game against the Nets with right knee tightness, but at the time, the Grizzlies described the situation as precautionary, so there wasn't too much concern from the start. Expect Parsons to played his regular dosage of around 25 minutes Wednesday in San Antonio.

Wayne Selden    G  Grizzlies

Wayne Selden (quad) will not play Wednesday vs. the Spurs. He's out indefinitely and irrelevant in all leagues.
