Grizzlies News

Tony Allen    G/F  Grizzlies

Tony Allen finished with 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting, one 3-pointer, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in a losing effort on Sunday. The veteran stepped up nicely for his short-handed squad, but Memphis was crushed in the rebounding department, 51-33. Anyone relying on Allen in the final weeks of the season should double-check that he's active -- with a playoff spot in the bag, David Fizdale could give the Grindfather some days off.

Apr 02 - 6:23 PM

James Ennis    F  Grizzlies

James Ennis racked up 14 points, eight boards, four assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers during a tough road loss vs. the Lakers on Sunday. Ennis logged 37 minutes and this was his most complete fantasy line of the season, thanks to the healthy supporting stats. Vince Carter was resting tonight and Memphis could make DNP-CDs a regular habit in their final five games, giving Ennis a potential end-of-season boost.

Apr 02 - 6:23 PM

Brandan Wright    F/C  Grizzlies

Brandan Wright made 7-of-10 field goals on Sunday, en route to 16 points, three rebounds, two assists and one block in 32 minutes of action. The Lakers came in with a skeletal frontcourt tonight, and Wright took advantage with his second-highest scoring performance of the season. He's hit double-figures in three of his past four games, and is a solid source of FG percentage and blocks as long as Marc Gasol (foot) and JaMychal Green (shoulder) remain on the shelf.

Apr 02 - 6:22 PM

Wayne Selden    G  Grizzlies

Wayne Selden started in place of Vince Carter (rest) on Sunday to finish with five points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal in 27 minutes. We've seen this act before. Selden has started four games this season but he averaged under 16 minutes in those appearances. He's a dubious fantasy option at any depth, even if the Grizzlies aggressively rest guys like Vince Carter and Tony Allen.

Apr 02 - 6:22 PM

Troy Daniels    G  Grizzlies

Troy Daniels tied for the team lead with 20 points on Sunday, making 7-of-13 shots with six 3-pointers, three assists, two boards and one steal in 31 minutes off the bench. Daniels' scoring wasn't quite enough to help his team beat the Lakers in L.A. He was coming off a game with 21 points, all coming on 3-pointers, and should continue to see elevated minutes with Memphis resting veterans now that they've secured a playoff spot. He's worth a look if you need points and triples, but don't expect much else.

Apr 02 - 6:21 PM

Zach Randolph    F/C  Grizzlies

Zach Randolph needed 16 shots to score 13 points vs. the Lakers on Sunday, making six of his attempts with six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes. JaMychal Green (shoulder) and Marc Gasol (foot) were both out again and it's unclear when they'll return. With Memphis already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, they don't have much incentive to rush back their ailing big men. It wouldn't be surprising to see Z-Bo get a rest day this week, especially with back-to-back games looming on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Apr 02 - 6:19 PM

Andrew Harrison    G  Grizzlies

Harrison (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers, Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal reports.

Andrew Harrison    G  Grizzlies

Andrew Harrison (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers. This will be Harrison's second straight game on the sidelines, which should translate to some extra minutes for Wade Baldwin, although that really doesn't mean much. For now, we'll be considering Harrison questionable for Tuesday's game in San Antonio.

Wayne Selden    G  Grizzlies

Selden will start at small forward Sunday against the Lakers, Rob Fischer of Fox Sports Southeast reports.

Wayne Selden    G  Grizzlies

Wayne Selden will start Sunday vs. the Lakers with Vince Carter (rest) unavailable. Through four starts this season, Selden has only managed to produce averages of 5.0 points, 1.8 boards, and 1.0 triple per contest while seeing around 15.9 minutes a game, so him starting isn't all that exciting. Mike Conley, Tony Allen, James Ennis and Brandan Wright will join him the starting five tonight.
