Jordan Mickey    F  Heat

Jordan Mickey's deal with the Heat is for two years. The first year of the deal is guaranteed at $1.5 million and the second is a team option. The Heat don't have a first-round pick for the next two seasons, so Mickey gives them a nice young piece to develop. Mickey does have nice upside in blocks with 3.1 swats per 36 minutes, but he's not expected to be in the rotation on opening night. Maybe a strong camp and preseason changes that.

Jordan Mickey    F  Heat

Jordan Mickey is finalizing a guaranteed $1.5 million contract with Miami, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical. The Celtics drafted Mickey out of LSU with the 33rd overall pick in the 2015 draft. He appeared in 25 games for Boston in 2016-17, but averaged just 1.5 points in 5.6 minutes of action. He did average 20.8 points and 8.8 rebounds in the 12 D-League games he played in. The Heat have plenty of depth in their crowded frontcourt, so although his guaranteed pact means it highly probable he'll make the final 15-man roster, it's unlikely Mickey cracks Miami's rotation next season.

Dion Waiters    G  Heat

Dion Waiters said he's not against the Heat trying to trade for Kyrie Irving, but added that Irving should "just know, there’s an alpha male over there too in myself." "I think that’s the biggest thing with everybody – oh he’s got irrational confidence," Waiters said. "Like I tell everybody man, I come from [Philadelphia]. If I can make it from here I can make it anywhere." Waiters had a breakout year with the Heat, especially when he was red hot in February with is 18.4 points per game. Now that Josh Richardson is healthy, there may not be the same opportunity for Philly Cheese, but he's still worth a look later in drafts.

Tyler Johnson    G  Heat

Tyler Johnson said that during workouts this summer he's focused on "a lot of catch-and-shoot, a lot of pick-and-roll jumpers." He also referred to working on "the everyday things" familiar to a combo guard -- "handles, reading the game, understanding the game, time and situation." Johnson recently worked out with Dion Waiters in Philadelphia, and their chemistry will be particularly important if they're paired together behind a starting backcourt of Goran Dragic and Josh Richardson. Miami's rotation is one to watch during the preseason.

Kelly Olynyk    F/C  Heat

Kelly Olynyk said he won't play in games with the Canadian national team this summer. He did say he will train with the team. One he starts his season with the Heat, Olynyk could get minutes at the four and the five, especially with how coach Erik Spoelstra likes to play the matchups. He figures to get most of his minutes as the backup five man, assuming rookie Bam Adebayo doesn't tear it up early.

Luke Babbitt    F  Heat

Luke Babbitt has agreed to a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks. Babbitt started 55 games for the Heat last season but logged less than 16 minutes a night and posted pedestrian averages of 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists. The one fantasy-friendly skill Babbitt does bring to the table is 3-point shooting. He averaged 1.3 treys per game last season and is a career 40.6 percent shooter from deep. The Hawks have limited depth at both forward spots, so Babbitt may see decent playing time. However, he will likely only have fantasy appeal for owners in deep leagues that are desperate for 3-pointers.

Okaro White    F  Heat

The Heat kept Okaro White on their roster beyond his Aug. 1 guarantee deadline, which means he is now guaranteed at least $453,000 for the 2017-18 season. If White is still on the roster on opening night, his contract will become fully guaranteed for $1.3 million. White played well for the Miami during summer league action in Orlando, averaging a team-high 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 bocks over four games. However, with the Heat signing Kelly Olynyk and bringing back James Johnson, it is unlikely White will see consistent minutes next season, if he does make the 15-man roster.
