Gordon Hayward    G/F  Jazz

Gordon Hayward reportedly "has interest" in signing with the Heat as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. To be clear, Utah remains the favorites to re-sign Hayward this offseason, but at the very least, he'll likely take meetings with Pat Riley in Miami and Danny Ainge in Boston. The Jazz will be able to offer Hayward a five-year, max deal worth somewhere in the ballpark of $179 million, whereas an opposing team will only be able to grant him a four-year deal worth roughly $132 million; so he'd be leaving a hefty chunk of change on the table if he decides to leave Utah.

Gordon Hayward    G/F  Jazz

Utah is worried that Gordon Hayward will consider signing with the Heat this summer, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. Hayward will be one of the most coveted free agents on the open market come July. It had been widely assumed that Utah's toughest competition for Hayward's services would be the Celtics, coached by Gordon's former college coach Brad Stevens. However, it now appears the Heat will also make a spirited run at Hayward. Miami president Pat Riley had previously stated he would focus on his own free agents as opposed to "chasing whales," but it seems Hayward is in Riley's crosshairs.

Joe Ingles    G/F  Jazz

Joe Ingles said that he has loved his time in Utah and that re-signing with the Jazz will be "the priority." Ingles is coming off a career-best campaign. He averaged 7.1 points and 1.5 treys while shooting an impressive 44.1 percent from 3-point territory (which was third-best in the NBA). In a league that places a very high value on shooting, Ingles will have plenty of interested suitors. However, re-signing with Utah is clearly his preference. He also stated that salary would not be the most important factor in his decision. "I’m not going to make my decision on money, for sure. There’s no way that’s gonna happen," said Ingles.

Derrick Favors    F/C  Jazz

Derrick Favors said he would love to remain with the Jazz, but he understands that scenarios exist where he could be traded next season. Favors will be an unrestricted free agent during the 2018 offseason, and with Utah set to give a max deal to Gordon Hayward this summer, and both Dante Exum and Rodney Hood eligible for contract extensions, the Jazz may not have enough money to be able to retain Favors during free agency. Favors struggled with injuries during his 2016-17 campaign and put up some of his worst numbers since his rookie year, so he'll have a lot to prove next season in a contract year.

Rudy Gobert    C  Jazz

Rudy Gobert, Kawhi Leonard and Draymond Green are the finalists for Defensive Player of the Year. These are the only three options here with each having some clear strengths over the others. Gobert is the best rim protector in the league, Kawhi is as good as it gets on the perimeter, and no player is better at team defense than Draymond. This will likely be one of the closest awards on June 26.

Dante Exum    G  Jazz

Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey said that Utah plans play to play Dante Exum at multiple positions next season. Exum has not lived up to expectations since being selected fifth overall in the 2014 draft, due in part to missing the entire 2015-16 season due to an ACL tear. However, he did show signs of progress in the 2017 postseason. Going forward, Utah envisions making the most of his versatility, including playing him off the ball. "The team functioned better when Dante was playing a wing, versus point guard, but there’s point guard in his future, there’s two-guard and even three because of his unique size, length and speed and hopefully developing strength," said GM Dennis Lindsey.

Gordon Hayward    G/F  Jazz

Becuase Gordon Hayward was not named to an All-NBA team this season, Utah is unable to offer him the Designated Player Veteran Extension this summer. It's a tough break for the Jazz. Had Hayward made one of the three All-NBA teams, Utah would have been able to ink him to a deal worth approximately $207 million over five years. Now, once he opts out in July, they will only be able to offer a max contract at around $177 million over five years. Other teams, including the Celtics, can offer $132 million over four years. Utah still can obviously offer far more than competitors, but it's not as sizable a difference as it could have been. Most league insiders believe Hayward's decision will come down to re-signing with Utah or heading to Boston to reunite with his former college coach Brad Stevens.

George Hill    G  Jazz

Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey said he is confident that Utah will be able to re-sign George Hill. "There’s a very good chance, we’re each other’s best option come July," Lindsey said of Hill. However, Lindsey did acknowledge that if Hill got an exorbitant offer, Utah might not be able to match it. "I told him if he gets a crazy offer somewhere else and we helped him get that offer, 'you’re not going to get one poor thought, much less a word (from us)’ if he were to go," Lindsey said. "He helped us." Three of Utah's most important players, Hill, Gordon Hayward and Joe Ingles, are all set to hit free agency in July.

Rudy Gobert    C  Jazz

Stephen Curry, Isaiah Thomas, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Rudy Gobert were named to the All-NBA second team. The Stifle Tower had a massive breakout year as an elite roll man to go with arguably the best rim protection in the league. Somehow, Gobert didn't make the All-Star team, which is another reason why we can't take All-Star Game voting seriously. If Gobert can put it together at the free throw line, he could reach truly elite fantasy value.

Gordon Hayward    G/F  Jazz

Chris Mannix of The Vertical believes Gordon Hayward is Boston's No. 1 target in free agency. Hayward has been non-committal about his future in Utah, but it's a lock that he's going to opt out of the final year of his deal and hit the open market. The 27-year-old wing is coming off a career year with averages of 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.1 treys on 46.8 percent shooting, so it will likely take a max contract offer to pry him away from Utah. To be clear, the Jazz are still the favorites to re-sign him.
