Carmelo Anthony's minutes will be reduced over the final 12 games of the season. The change will be immediate, with Melo playing fewer minutes on Wednesday vs. Utah. "[Coach Jeff Hornacek] mentioned today that he's going to start shortening minutes," Anthony said. Melo did not give details as to exactly how many minutes he might play. He logged only 25 on Monday, but that game was a blowout. The Knicks have a back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday, so there is a possibility Melo sits out Thursday's contest. "That's not (anything) that we've discussed so far as of yet," Anthony said of missing the second night of a back-to-back.

Carmelo Anthony hinted that he might be willing to waive his no-trade clause this offseason. This year will be the fourth straight season the Knicks have failed to qualify for the playoffs. Speaking with reporters on Monday, Melo was introspective. "Honestly, I think about it a lot," he said. "I try to put everything into perspective. I think about [New York], I think postseason... It makes you want to think about what’s next or what could be next." Melo had been averaging over 36 minutes per game for the last two months but played just 25 in Monday night's blowout. He may be rested once or twice over New York's final 12 games.

Lance Thomas    F  Knicks

Lance Thomas scored just two points with one assist and one rebound in 15 minutes off the bench against the Clippers on Monday. Thomas was back to a reserve role with Kristaps Porzingis (thigh) back in action. As such, Thomas is back to having very minimal fantasy appeal. However, with the Knicks all but eliminated from a spot in the postseason the team could shut down some key members and Thomas might return to a starting role. For now, most fantasy owners can leave him to the waiver wire.

Justin Holiday    G/F  Knicks

Justin Holiday scored 11 points with four rebounds and three assists in Monday's 114-105 loss against the Clippers. Holiday racked up 27 minutes, his highest total since Feb. 1. He has played more than 20 minutes in each of the pat three outings, however, as the Knicks continues to give him a look and see if he is someone to rely upon in 2017-18 and beyond. As such, he is worth using in most deeper fantasy leagues since he should log plenty of minutes down the stretch.

Mar 21 - 1:18 AM

Courtney Lee    G  Knicks

Courtney Lee scored just two points, missing five of his six field goal attempts, in Monday's 114-105 loss against the Clippers. That's two poor outings over the past three games. Ron Baker picked up the slack in Monday's loss, but it's hard to see him eating into the veteran Lee's minutes just yet. Despite the rough patch recently he has been a solid source of 3-pointers and rebounds for most fantasy owners while also chipping in with a steal or two in rotisserie formats.
