Dennis Smith Jr.    G  Mavericks

Dennis Smith Jr. made 3-of-11 from the field for 11 points with two rebounds, six assists and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday. He was on a serious roll coming into this game with at least 15 points in each of his previous six games. Smith Jr. was still able to get his dimes in this game and it's rare for young point guards to have success against Chris Paul. DSJ's owners should give him a pass here and can expect a better game against the Blazers on Friday.

Harrison Barnes    F  Mavericks

Harrison Barnes scored 10 points with five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 33 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday. He's slowed down a little lately with this one and an eight-point dud back on Saturday. Barnes isn't going to the line as often these days and came into today with only 2.9 attempts per game in January. He was playing well before that rough game on Saturday, so expect him to start scoring around 20 most nights.

Kyle Collinsworth    G  Mavericks

Kyle Collinsworth has signed a second 10-day contract with the Mavericks. Collingsworth's deal will expire on February 2, after which, the Mavs will need to decide if they want to sign him for the remainder of the season or let him walk. He hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation, so he's safe to leave on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Johnathan Motley    C  Mavericks

Johnathan Motley has been recalled from the G-League. "He's here, and he'll be getting NBA pay for the time he's here," said head coach Rick Carlisle. Motley could pick up some limited minutes in the rotation tonight, but he won't be on the floor enough to matter in fantasy hoops.

Devin Harris    G  Mavericks

Devin Harris (concussion, personal) will miss at least the next three games for Dallas, and he is currently without an official timetable to return. Harris will miss Wednesday's game due to the concussion, and then he'll step away from the team due to personal reasons, which will force him to miss Friday and Saturday's games as well. Harris belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues, and his absence will open up minutes for Dennis Smith Jr., J.J. Barea and Yogi Ferrell.

Devin Harris    PG  Mavericks

Harris (concussion) is out for Wednesday's contest against the Rockets, as well as both Friday's contest against Portland and Saturday's tilt against Denver due to personal reasons, Earl K. Sneed of the Mavericks' official site reports. There is no timetable for his return. Harris' absence Wednesday is due to his head injury, but that fact that he'll remain sidelined through the weekend (and possibly beyond) is due to a personal matter. While he remains out, J.J. Barea, Yogi Ferrell and Kyle Collinsworth are candidates to continue seeing extra run.

Devin Harris    PG  Mavericks

Harris (concussion) did not go through morning shootaround and is questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Rockets, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports. Though Harris is officially questionable, Sefko notes that he doesn't expect Harris to return before the weekend. He suffered the concussion during Saturday's game against Portland, when he hit his head on a cameraman's knee. Harris was subsequently held out of Monday's game against the Wizards. Assuming he's sidelined for a second straight game Wednesday, J.J. Barea, Yogi Ferrell and Kyle Collinsworth are all candidates to see extra run.

Devin Harris    G  Mavericks

Devin Harris (concussion) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Rockets. It's unclear where he's at in the concussion protocol testing, but he won't be able to play until he clears that protocol. If he's out again, Dennis Smith Jr., Yogi Ferrell and J.J. Barea will split his minutes.

Nerlens Noel    C  Mavericks

Coach Rick Carlisle said Noel (thumb) will likely return after the first week of February, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. Noel was originally hoping to return near the start of February, but it appears the big man is progressing slower than expected in his rehab. Carlisle didn't specify how much longer he thought Noel would be sidelined, though it sounds like he won't be cleared to return until after the trade deadline, which is Feb. 8. The 23-year-old fell out of favor prior to suffering the injury, so he may be limited to a minor role even when he's healthy.

Wesley Matthews    SG  Mavericks

Matthews scored a season-high 29 points (10-18 FG, 7-14 3PT) in a 104-97 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, adding four rebounds, five assists and two steals to his tally. Matthews hasn't been the same player since he tore his Achilles three years ago, but performances like this show the sort of upside he can provide. What has been consistent with Matthews are his minutes, as he's playing over 34 minutes per game. With a lack of options in this weak Dallas offense, Matthews may be asked to take on a bigger load, as he's set a season-high in scoring three times in his last eight games.
