Salah Mejri    C  Mavericks

Salah Mejri scored six points with six rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 22 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday. Things got chippy with him and Jusuf Nurkic, but there shouldn't be any punishment coming down. Mejri's minutes have been all over the place with only 12.3 minutes per game over his previous January outings. He'll need some of the bigs to miss time to have value.

Dennis Smith Jr.    G  Mavericks

Dennis Smith Jr. kept it going against the Blazers on Saturday, scoring 21 points with six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes. He's easily in his best groove of his career with four 20-plus scoring games over his last five. In that span, he's averaged 20.8 points, 3.8 boards, 4.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys on 46.4 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the line. A big reason why has been his shot selection, making 68.8 percent at the rim with those attempts accounting for 38.1 percent of his shot total over this five-game stretch. Patience looks like it's about to pay off for the rookie phenom.

Maxi Kleber    F  Mavericks

Maxi Kleber finished with 10 points across 16 minutes in a start Saturday in Portland. Kleber was back in the starting five as head coach Rick Carlisle was looking for a little added size. Kleber also finished with three assists, a rebound and a steal while hitting 4-of-6 from the field, including two 3-pointers. Despite the decent production he remains a useful fantasy asset only in the deepest of leagues at this point.

Devin Harris    G  Mavericks

Devin Harris (head) was scoreless across six minutes in his return Saturday at Portland. Harris was 0-of-2 from the field and he did not contribute in any other area while posting a minus-7 rating. He was getting about 18 minutes per night before this one, and he barely got into this one. Despite a four-game schedule coming up, he isn't even worth using in the deepest of fantasy leagues at this point.

J.J. Barea    G  Mavericks

J.J. Barea (groin) finished with 12 points across 23 minutes on Saturday in Portland in his return from a one-game absence. Barea also added six assists and two rebounds with two turnovers, making his way back from a one-game absence due to a slight groin injury. It appears safe to get him back into the active fantasy lineup if you normally rely upon him, especially since the team has a four-game week upcoming. However, the Mavs have a back-to-back next Friday and Saturday, so Barea could be held out of the lineup as a precaution due to his groin issue. Be careful.

Wesley Matthews    G/F  Mavericks

Wesley Matthews finished Saturday's loss at Portland with a team-high 23 points over 38 minutes. Matthews hit 7-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-9 from behind the 3-point line, while adding 6-of-8 from the charity stripe. He also added five rebounds, two assists and a steal while turning it over twice. January has easily been his best month of the season, as he is averaging 16.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game in eight outings in the month. As such, he is a sell-high candidate, as it's likely the team will start playing some of its younger talent more down the stretch.

Harrison Barnes    F  Mavericks

Harrison Barnes finished Saturday's game at Portland with eight points, 10 rebounds and a blocked shot over 35 minutes. Barnes had an ugly 3-of-13 performance from the floor, and he was 0-of-4 from behind the 3-point line to snap an 11-game streak with at least one triple. It was also his first single-digit performance in 23 outings dating back to Dec. 2. Chalk it up as just one poor outing. He'll look to get back on track Monday night against Washington, the first of a four-game schedule in the upcoming week.

Dirk Nowitzki    F/C  Mavericks

Dirk Nowitzki finished with a season-high 21 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal over 29 minutes in Saturday's 117-108 loss at Portland. Nowitzki was a very efficient 8-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point line, and he added 2-of-2 from the free-throw line while posting zero turnovers. Disco Dirk hit 20 points for just the second time this season, each coming over the past five outings. He has had a couple of solid scoring outings in January, but his production has still been rather erratic.

Devin Harris    PG  Mavericks

Harris left Saturday's game with a head injury, and wasn't able to return Earl K. Sneed of the Mavericks' official site reports. Harris left the game after contributing just six minutes off the bench, and was ruled out for the remainder of the night against the Trail Blazers. It's unclear how serious the injury is, however, more information should be available after the game. Harris has provided the Mavericks with 18.6 minutes, 8.6 points and 1.9 assists per game this season -- he put up 16 points in 18 minutes during their last contest against the Nuggets.

Devin Harris    G  Mavericks

Devin Harris (head injury) will not return on Saturday against the Blazers. The Mavs get J.J. Barea back, but they lose Harris in this game. Expect Barea, Wes Matthews and Dennis Smith Jr. to see more run.
