D'Angelo Russell    PG  Nets

Russell (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports. Russell has practiced with the Long Island Nets of the G-League, but there is still no clarity on the point guard's timetable for a return. It looks like, however, a return is close, and Russell will continue to be evaluated on a game-by-game basis until Brooklyn announces he is ready to return. Russell's next opportunity to be activated will be Friday against the Heat.

D'Angelo Russell    G  Nets

D'Angelo Russell (knee) will not play Wednesday vs. the Spurs. Russell did not practice on Tuesday, but he'll be active at Wednesday morning's shootaround. He recently went through a 5-on-5 scrimmage with Brooklyn's G-League affiliate, so he has to be close. His next opportunity to get out there will be Friday against Miami. Allen Crabbe could head back to the second unit once Russell gets back to the court, and Caris LeVert's value could take a hit.

Tyler Zeller    C  Nets

Tyler Zeller (hip) returned to the starting lineup on Monday against the Knicks, finishing with five points over 12 minutes. Zeller's playing time was a bit limited, but he was able to go for three rebounds on 2-of-4 shooting and help out with a 3-pointer. His return sent Quincy Acy back to the bench, although the latter was more effective even as a reserve. The team has a logjam of centers, as Acy, Zeller, Jarrett Allen and Jahlil Okafor are all fighting for minutes, so it isn't an ideal situation for fantasy owners at the moment.

Allen Crabbe    G/F  Nets

Allen Crabbe ended up with just six points over 35 minutes in Monday's 119-104 loss against the Knicks while picking up five personal fouls. Crabbe had a rough time of it at both ends of the court, getting into foul trouble and missing badly with his shot. He was just 1-of-7 from the field while chipping in with three assists, three rebounds and a blocked shot. He had been picking it up on offense lately, and is still worth grabbing off the waiver wire despite this stinker if he is available.

Quincy Acy    F/C  Nets

Quincy Acy was back to the bench Monday against the Knicks with Tyler Zeller (hip) back, but Acy responded with 13 points over 22 minutes. The double-digit scoring performance was actually Acy's first of January, as he was averaging just 5.5 points per game in his previous seven outings in the month. he can be a cheap source of rebounds for fantasy owners in deeper leagues, and he has three blocked shots over his past two outings. However, he is also fighting for crumbs with Jarrett Allen and Jahlil Okafor, so not much to see here.

Spencer Dinwiddie    G  Nets

Spencer Dinwiddie finished Monday's game against the Knicks with just eight points on 2-of-14 shooting. Dinwiddie has been a rising start in fantasy this season, but this was certainly a clunker. He was 0-of-4 from behind the 3-point line, but at least able to salvage the fantasy line somewhat with his five assists and four rebounds while going 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. This comes on the heels of an ugly 2-of-10 shooting night last time out in Washington. It won't get much easier with the defensive-minded Spurs on the horizon Wednesday night, but don't panic. Dinwiddie's overall body of fantasy work has been stellar and he'll snap out of it.

DeMarre Carroll    F  Nets

DeMarre Carroll went for 22 points with eight rebounds, three assists and a steal over 30 minutes in Monday's 119-104 loss against the Nets. Carroll was 6-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-5 from behind the 3-point line, and the 'Junkyard Dog' posted career highs with free-throws made (eight) and attempts (nine). Carroll is averaging 16.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game over his past three outings. He remains a solid source of cheap boards, steals and triples for most fantasy owners.

Quincy Acy    PF  Nets

Acy will return to a bench role for Monday's game against the Knicks. Acy drew the start at center in place of the ailing Tyler Zeller (hip) on Saturday, posting eight points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks across 25 minutes. However, with Zeller healthy and rejoining the top unit Monday, Acy is set to return to a bench role. Acy's role has fluctuated quite a bit of late, so it's unclear just how much of a decrease in role he'll have in heading to the bench. Prior to Saturday's contest, Acy averaged 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds across 25.0 minutes over the previous five games.

Tyler Zeller    C  Nets

Zeller (hip) will play and start Monday against the Knicks, Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily reports. Zeller missed Saturday's matchup with the Wizards due to a sore left hip, but the injury was never nothing of much concern, and the North Carolina product will return to the starting five Monday, pushing Quincy Acy back to the bench.

D'Angelo Russell    G  Nets

D'Angelo Russell was able to go through a 5-on-5 scrimmage at Monday's practice in the G-League. This was his first 5-on-5 scrimmage since the injury, confirming that Russell should be back any day now. Coach Kenny Atkinson said he would like to see Russell practice with the Nets before returning, so if he practices on Thursday then we could see him make his return on Friday vs. the Heat.
