K.J. McDaniels    G/F  Nets

The Nets will reportedly decline their $3.5 million team option for K.J. McDaniels, making him an unrestricted free agent. McDaniels was traded from the Rockets mid-season last year, and as a member of the Nets' bench he averaged 6.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks. He has intriguing per-minute fantasy potential, but would need an ideal situation to be worth considering in typical leagues.

Jeremy Lin    G  Nets

Nets GM Sean Marks said Jeremy Lin is "definitely" still the leader of the team. "We’ve got young players. He’s definitely the leader of that clubhouse, with his work ethic and the stuff he does in there," Marks said. "He’s tremendous." Lin has one more year left on his deal with a player option for a second, and Marks made it clear that he "certainly" wants him around. It's going to be interesting to see how he coexists with D'Angelo Russell, but Lin said he's excited to share the court alongside another player who is dynamic because it will make the game easier. The Nets should use plenty of two-PG lineups, so Lin's value should be fine.

Jarrett Allen    C  Nets

Coach Kenny Atkinson said the starting center position will be an "open competition." It'll likely be Jarrett Allen vs. Timofey Mozgov for the starting spot. Obviously the Nets aren't exactly going for it as they rebuild through the draft, so that should give Allen an advantage. At Texas, Allen's Longhorns were very slow with their 252nd-ranked pace in the nation, so that'll be an adjustment for him. Still, the Nets were demolished inside last year and Atkinson should be able how to use Allen's 7'5" wingspan on both ends. He's a sleeper to watch in deep fantasy leagues.

Jeremy Senglin    G  Nets

Senglin agreed to a partially guaranteed deal Friday with the Nets, Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports.

D'Angelo Russell    G  Nets

Nets GM Sean Marks said he's not concerned about D'Angelo Russell's maturity and is excited about getting a young player "with a lot of upside.’’ Marks also added that he wants to "develop him as a basketball player and a young man." Russell will likely share ball-handling responsibilities with Jeremy Lin in Brooklyn, but he couldn't ask for a better landing spot for fantasy value -- the Nets should play at one of the fastest paces in the NBA and Russell's 3-point attempts and playing time should increase. It also helps that the Nets have one of the best player development coaches in Kenny Atkinson. Per Synergy Sports, Russell scored or assisted on 44.8 points per 48 minutes in his second year in the NBA (up from 35.2 per 48 as a rookie), so it's easy to see why the Nets are so thrilled with this trade.

Aleksandar Vezenkov    F  Nets

The Nets selected FC Barcelona forward Aleksandar Vezenkov with the 57th pick. The 6'9" power forward will be 22 years old this summer, but he's fully expected to be stashed overseas for at least one season. In 35 games in the ACB, Vezenkov averaged 8.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.8 assists, hitting 1.1 3-pointers on a 35.6 percent clip. He only played 18.8 minutes per game, so hopefully his role grows in Spain next season.

D'Angelo Russell    G  Nets

The trade that sent D'Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov to the Nets has been finalized by the NBA. Brook Lopez is officially a member of the Lakers and there were no surprises during player physicals, so it's a done deal. Lopez should play a huge role in L.A.'s offense, while Russell has one of the more exciting outlooks with his responsibilities and playing time expected to spike in Brooklyn.

Jarrett Allen    C  Nets

Allen was selected by the Nets with the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
