Jarrett Allen    C  Nets

Jarrett Allen, who missed the Summer League with a hip injury, said he's back working out with teammates and coaches. This is a sign that he should be good to go for training camp. Allen is in one of the best spots for rookies, as the Nets are rebuilding and his only competition for minutes right now is Timofey Mozgov and his bloated contract. "It’s definitely an opportunity,’’ Allen said. "A lot of rookies aren’t in the same position that I am, to be able to come in and play immediately or gets minutes like I will. So it’s nothing but good for me." A 6'10" big man with a 7'5" wingspan, Allen is a sleeper late in drafts for his shot-blocking prowess and ability to finish around the rim.

Caris LeVert    G  Nets

Caris LeVert and Sean Kilpatrick have worked out with Steve Nash and Kevin Durant this summer. Nash is now the Warriors' Player Development Consultant and this was a week-long training program. LeVert has reportedly been very busy this summer and is putting his offseason to good use after he had to get over a foot fracture last summer. The addition of Allen Crabbe does hurt his playing time, but LeVert could still get 22-26 minutes even off the bench.

Timofey Mozgov    C  Nets

Timofey Mozgov scored 20 points with five rebounds in a friendly against Hungary on Friday. He didn't take any 3-pointers for the Russian national team. Mozgov is hopeful he can add that to his game, but it won't be easy. While he was just 7-of-40 from deep in his career, he was 13-of-34 (38.2 percent) on his shots from 20-24 feet over the last three season. He's a terrible fit for the NBA's reigning fastest team, so he's not a great fantasy target.

Allen Crabbe    G/F  Nets

Nets GM Sean Marks said he believes Allen Crabbe can take his game to "another level." "He’s got a chip on his shoulder, and he wants to take his game to another level, all-around facets," Marks said. "It’s not just shooting. It’s defense. It’s everything." Crabbe shot 44.4 percent from deep last season which ranked third in the NBA, but he ranked 91st out of 94 shooting guards in defensive real plus-minus and had a dreadful subpar rating of 108.9. He's expected to start at small forward and should be a key contributor on an offense that launched the fourth most triples last season, so he's become a nice option in the later rounds.

Milton Doyle    G  Nets

Doyle agreed to a one-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Nets on Friday.

Jeremy Senglin    G  Nets

Nets sign G Jeremy Senglin. Like Damian Lillard, Senglin played four years at Weber State with his best year coming in his senior season. The 6'2" Senglin averaged 21.2 points per game with a whopping 3.8 treys per outing, so he can fill it up. The Nets actually traded away the pick that turned out to be Damian Lillard in a deal for Gerald Wallace, so maybe their luck will go in the other direction here. Senglin will need a tremendous camp to make the team.

Milton Doyle    G  Nets

Nets sign G Milton Doyle. He is likely just a camp body for the Nets, who now actually have some decent depth on the perimeter. Doyle played four years at Loyola University Chicago with 13.3 points per game.

D'Angelo Russell    G  Nets

Russell will compete for a starting spot during training camp, Zach Lowe of ESPN reports.

Aug 03 - 1:28 PM

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson    G/F  Nets

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will open training camp as the starting power forward according to head coach Kenny Atkinson. The Nets are loaded with wings, so this is fantastic news for Hollis-Jefferson. He does have some fresh competition in DeMarre Carroll, but RHJ had a lot of success at the four last season and the Nets should prioritize his development. His perimeter shooting is still a major work in progress, but RHJ should be a nice fantasy asset for those targeting steals -- he's averaged 1.8 steals per 36 minutes in his first two seasons.
