Jamal Murray    G  Nuggets

General manager Tim Connelly said Jamal Murray will have surgery for a couple of different injuries. Presumably, one of those injuries is going to be his sports hernia he played through for most of his rookie season. Even with the injuries, Murray busted out in April, averaging 15.1 points, 3.6 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 treys on 44.9 percent from the field and perfect free throw shooting. Assuming these surgeries won't affect him in a couple months, Murray is going to be a popular target in drafts.

Gary Harris    G  Nuggets

The Nuggets will attempt to sign Gary Harris to a contract extension this offseason. Harris, who averaged career-highs in points (14.9), rebounds (3.1), assists (2.9) and shooting percentage (50.3), is scheduled to make $2.5 million next season. "I still don’t think the league appreciates how good he is and how young he is," Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly said. "He’s going to be here for a very long time." Injuries are a concern (he played in only 57 games), but Harris' fantasy stock is definitely on the rise.

Jamal Murray    G  Nuggets

Jamal Murray played through a sports hernia this season. He played in all 82 games, so a ton of credit goes to Murray. Coach Mike Malone said Murray was playing through some pain, and now we know the details. Murray made it very clear he is capable of being a point guard, especially with how well the Nuggets fared with him at the one. In fact, the lineup of Murray, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic posted a +21.4 net rating in 67 minutes since the break -- that ranks fourth in the NBA among 82 lineups with at least 60 minutes in that span. Murray figures to be a popular breakout pick next year.

Wilson Chandler    G/F  Nuggets

Wilson Chandler was a healthy scratch on Wednesday in the season finale vs. the Thunder. The Nuggets had nothing to play for, so Chandler missed his 11th game of the season. The 29-year-old wing is owed $12 million in 2017-18 and has a player option for 2018-19 worth $12.8 million, and with Danilo Gallinari expected to opt out and hit free agency this summer, Chandler could be looking at another 30-minute role next season. He finished the 2016-17 campaign with averages of 15.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.5 triples on 46.1 percent shooting.

Danilo Gallinari    F  Nuggets

Nuggets GM Tim Connelly said that Danilo Gallinari has been a "core piece" of the Nuggets for a "very long time." "We have a fantastic relationship, so we’re always very up front and honest," Connelly said. "If he opts out we’ll figure out how we approach that. He’s a guy who really enjoys Denver. He had a career year in a bunch of different statistical categories." It's a no-brainer for Gallo to opt out of the final year of his deal to take advantage of the rising salary cap, and while Gallo has said that he would like to finish his career as a Nugget, money talks. Gallo averaged 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.0 triples on 44.7 percent shooting this season, appearing in 63 games. He will turn 29 in August.

Gary Harris    G  Nuggets

Nuggets GM Tim Connelly praised Gary Harris for his breakout 2016-17 season. "Gary deserves so much credit. He’s a guy who has worked his way into the player he is today," Connelly said. Harris averaged 14.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.9 triples on 50.2 percent shooting, and while he only played 57 games due to a couple nagging injuries, he returned top-60 value in standard leagues on a per-game basis. Harris should reprise his role as the starting SG next season and Connelly added that he "is really emblematic of who we are trying to be," so expect him to take another step forward in 2017-18.

Jamal Murray    G  Nuggets

Jamal Murray had 27 points, six assists and two rebounds in 41 minutes vs. the Thunder during Wednesday's season finale, making 10-of-17 shots with four 3-pointers. "Toughness is what jumps to mind," Nuggets coach Michael Malone said of Murray. "Both mental toughness and physical toughness. He’s gone through a lot of pain this year, a lot of injuries. He never complains ... I’m very proud of him." Denver will absolutely carve out a big role for him next season, probably at point guard, making him an intriguing upside guy to target in any format.

Nikola Jokic    F/C  Nuggets

Nikola Jokic finished the season on a high note, posting 29 points (9-of-14 FGs, 11-of-14 FTs), 16 rebounds, eight assists, five blocks and one steal. Jokic had a phenomenal season, but that doesn't mean he'll rest on his laurels this summer. "At the end of the season I’m going to talk to [team trainers Steve Hess and Felipe Eichenberger] and the front office about how I can improve my body," he said. You'll need to spend a first-round pick to acquire him next season.

Juan Hernangomez    F  Nuggets

Juan Hernangomez started vs. OKC on Wednesday and had nine points on 4-of-17 shooting (1-of-9 from deep), with seven rebounds and one assist. The rookie got the start with Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler both resting in a meaningless game, the Nuggets having been officially eliminated from the playoffs last week. Gallinari has a $16.1 million player option which he'll assuredly decline in favor of free agency, and if he doesn't return Hernangomez could see his role spike next season.
