Pelicans News

Tim Frazier    G  Pelicans

Tim Frazier started his second game in a row on Tuesday vs. the Grizzlies, but flopped with two points in 28 minutes. He missed all three of his shots from the field and added five assists, two rebounds, three steals and one turnover. He's playing beside three usage rate monsters in Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Jrue Holiday, so Frazier is a low-end option if you're targeting assists -- he had three points, two boards and eight dimes in his previous start. The Pelicans only play two more times this week.

DeMarcus Cousins    F/C  Pelicans

DeMarcus Cousins dropped 41 points in a 95-82 win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday, adding 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and five 3-pointers in 37 minutes. This was easily his best game with the Pelicans as he shot 14-of-27 from the field and 8-of-9 from the line. He became just the second player since '83 with 41+ points, 17+ rebounds and 5+ triples, and the first since Kevin Love did it in 2010. The Pelicans trail the No. 8 seed (Denver) by 3.5 games, so expect him to keep playing through some minor ailments -- he missed Friday's game with a right rib contusion and a knee issue.

Mar 21 - 11:51 PM

Anthony Davis    F/C  Pelicans

Anthony Davis played through an illness on Tuesday vs. the Grizzlies and led his team to a 95-82 win with 19 points. DeMarcus Cousins carried the Pelicans with 41 points, but AD deserves a lot of credit for playing even though he clearly wasn't 100 percent. He finished 9-of-18 from the field after a rough start to the game, adding 13 rebounds in 40 minutes. The Pelicans are only 3.5 games behind the Nuggets for the No. 8 seed, so Davis will finish the season strong if his team remains competitive.

Mar 21 - 11:39 PM

Jrue Holiday    G  Pelicans

Holiday scored 11 points (5-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt) to go along with six assists, three rebounds and one steal across 41 minutes during Tuesday's 95-82 win over the Grizzlies.

Anthony Davis    F/C  Pelicans

Anthony Davis (illness) will play Tuesday vs. the Grizzlies. Davis also got poked in the eye and hit in the shins during Sunday's game, but none of these ailments will force him to the sidelines. Make sure you've got The Brow active.

Tim Frazier    G  Pelicans

Tim Frazier will remain in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Memphis. Gentry said he liked how having Tim Frazier as the primary ball handler forces Jrue Holiday to be more of a scorer, so this is a lineup switch that could hold moving forward. Frazier put up three points, two boards and eight dimes through 23 minutes as a starter on Sunday, so he could be worth a look as a deep league assists specialist. Hopefully, with Frazier in the starting group, Holiday will be able to build off his 21-point, seven-dime, four-triple performance from Sunday.

Cheick Diallo    F  Pelicans

Diallo was reassigned to the Greensboro Swarm on Tuesday, Justin Verrier of ESPN reports.

Cheick Diallo    F  Pelicans

The Pelicans have assigned Cheick Diallo to the D-League. No fantasy impact to note here, as Cheick Diallo has appeared in just two games over the last two months.
