K.J. McDaniels    G/F  Raptors

K.J. McDaniels will sign with the Raptors. It's a partially-guaranteed deal and he's likely just a camp body. McDaniels was a highlight machine when he was on the 76ers, but he hasn't really got anything going since he was traded to the Rockets or while with the Nets. The second-round pick may have a tough time making the roster.

Kyle Wiltjer    F  Raptors

Forward Kyle Wiltjer has agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Raptors. Wiltjer played sparingly for the Rockets last season, scoring a total of 13 points in just 44 minutes. However, he did put up impressive numbers in the D-League, averaging 20.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 3-pointers in 35.9 minutes over 22 games. He has a chance to make Toronto's final 15-man roster, but is unlikely to crack the rotation next season.

Jonas Valanciunas    C  Raptors

Jonas Valanciunas appeared to turn his ankle in a friendly game against Croatia, but he was able to return. He was reportedly yelling from the pain, but it sounds like Valanciunas dodged a bullet. Valanciunas was reportedly on the trade block last month and now he's likely going to lose minutes to Serge Ibaka and maybe even Jakob Poeltl.

Lorenzo Brown    G  Raptors

The Raptors have signed Lorenzo Brown to a two-way contract. Brown will be competing for the third-string point guard spot over the course of training camp, but even if he makes the regular-season roster, he'll remain a non-factor in fantasy hoops.

DeMar DeRozan    G/F  Raptors

DeMar DeRozan said that he hit 450 out of 700 (64 percent) 3-point attempts during a late-night workout. It's a bit of a non-story, but we can't be picky in late July. Hitting a triple in an empty gym obviously doesn't compare to shooting in a real game, but it's at least encouraging that he's focused on his perimeter shot -- that's the missing piece to the puzzle of his fantasy game with career averages of 0.4 treys on a 28.1 percent clip. We've also heard coach Dwane Casey say he wants DeRozan to handle the ball a bit more as a PG next season, so it sounds like the 27-year-old wing is poised for another strong campaign.

DeMar DeRozan    G/F  Raptors

Coach Dwane Casey said he may have DeMar DeRozan "handle the ball a bit more as a point guard" next season. Casey has talked about DeRozan adding more treys, so this isn't the first new responsibility for him. "We don’t want to give our whole ‘what we’re going to try to do next year’ away, but again it comes down to passing the basketball and better spacing more so, than we know, one-on-one play," Casey said. The Raptors are a little thinner on the perimeter with Cory Joseph and DeMarre Carroll gone, so there will be some new wrinkles in their offense. This likely won't affect DeRozan too much on the stat sheet and he should hang around four assists per game for the fifth straight season.

C.J. Miles    G/F  Raptors

The Raptors made the signing of C.J. Miles official on Tuesday. Miles was acquired from Indiana in the Corey Joseph sign-and-trade deal, and his contract with Toronto is reportedly for three years at $25 million with a player option on Year-3. Miles will likely be competing with Norman Powell for a starters designation over the course of training camp, so that's a battle we'll be watching closely. However, even as a starter, Miles wouldn't be much more than a deep league, 3-point specialist in fantasy hoops.

Jonas Valanciunas    C  Raptors

Masai Ujiri said he "believes" in Jonas Valanciunas' talent and the Raptors are not going to "give him away." Valanciunas' name has cropped up quite a bit in trade rumors over the past few seasons, and Ujiri acknowledged during Tuesday's presser that they did look into moving JV when they were over the cap, but with the Raptors no longer facing a stiff luxury tax bill they are no longer actively shopping Valanciunas. In terms of fantasy hoops, remaining in Toronto isn't necessarily a good thing for JV, as Dwane Casey rarely allows his minutes to hit the 30-minute mark.
