Derrick White    G  Spurs

Derrick White will play in summer league. He's quite a story. White barely had any offers from colleges out of high school and one of them was from a culinary school. He came from D2 school UCCS, but then tore it up at Colorado last year with averages of 18.1 points, 4.1 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.7 treys and 2.4 turnovers. The Spurs are well on their way to replacing Tony Parker very soon.

The Spurs selected Derrick White with the No. 29 pick in the draft. The D2 transfer had himself a strong senior season with Colorado, averaging 18.1 points, 4.1 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.4 blocks, 1.7 treys and 2.4 turnovers on 50.7 percent from the field and 81.3 percent from the line. White has good size at 6’5" with a 6’7" wingspan, and he also performed in pick-and-roll plays with the Buffalos. Being a four-year college player may have hurt his draft value, but White could shine in Summer League. With the Spurs linked to several high-profile guards in free agency, White will have his work cut out for him to crack the rotation.

LaMarcus Aldridge    F/C  Spurs

Blazers beat writer Jason Quick reports that there is "no way" LaMarcus Aldridge will return to Portland via a trade. Aldridge is said to be unhappy in San Antonio and his name has surfaced in various trade rumors. This doesn't mean that he won't be moved, but the scenario involving Portland has no legs.

Danny Green    G/F  Spurs

The Cavs and Spurs have been in trade talks involving Danny Green, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN. The report adds the Spurs' asking price has been high, but the Cavs don't even have a GM right now. The Cavs really don't have much to offer here, so this isn't surprising to see these teams aren't close. Green could be on the move this summer as the Spurs look to open up some cap space to potentially bring in a star like Chris Paul.

The Suns have also been mentioned as a possible inclusion in a three-team trade, according to Sam Amico.

LaMarcus Aldridge    F/C  Spurs

LaMarcus Aldridge's unhappiness in San Antonio is "the driving force" behind the Spurs’ trade talks on Thursday, according to Sam Amick of USA Today. The report adds Aldridge is "hopeful that San Antonio can find a better fit for his talents." The Spurs are reportedly looking for a top-10 pick in return, but they're probably not going to get it with how deep this class is. Plus, the teams in the top 10 really don't make much sense as a fit right now. After a bad postseason, the Spurs may be willing to drop the price on the former All-Star.

LaMarcus Aldridge    F/C  Spurs

According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Michael C. Wright, the Spurs are still shopping LaMarcus Aldridge. Suns radio host John Gambadoro said on Wednesday that the Spurs were looking for a top-5 pick in return, but this report says they would move Aldridge for a top-10 pick. The Spurs have spoken to at least three teams so far, but no deal is imminent yet. Aldridge was a letdown in the postseason and is slated to make $21.4 million next season with a player option for 2018-19, so getting his contract off the books would give the Spurs a ton of flexibility to make some noise in free agency.

Jonathon Simmons    G/F  Spurs

The Spurs have extended a $1.6 million qualifying offer to make Jonathon Simmons a restricted free agent. Simmons was quietly effective last season, especially while filling in for injured Kawhi Leonard in the playoffs -- in four games vs. the Warriors, he averaged 15.3 points, 1.3 triples, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 27.8 minutes. Danny Green and LaMarcus Aldridge have been mentioned in recent trade rumors, and Pau Gasol is expected to re-negotiate a deal with the Spurs, so the team's willingness to match an offer-sheet for Simmons will hinge on a variety of other factors.
