Suns News

Devin Booker    SG  Suns

Booker posted 18 points (7-24 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists, four rebounds and one block across 32 minutes in Friday's 129-97 loss to the Jazz. Booker has now shot 35.7 percent or less in five of the last six games, draining just two his 14 attempts from behind the arc over the last two contests in the process. That slump has been largely responsible for Booker scoring under 20 points in all five of the aforementioned outings, a stretch during which rookie Josh Jackson has also started taking on a more prominent role. While Booker figures to continue serving as the team's offensive linchpin on most nights, his occasional struggles coupled with Jackson's improving play could result in his production taking a slight hit overall.

Josh Jackson    SF  Suns

Jackson poured in 20 points (7-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and added four rebounds and two steals across 29 minutes in Friday's 129-97 loss to the Jazz. The rookie now has three consecutive 20-point efforts, the best offensive stretch of his career thus far. Jackson kept that streak alive Friday despite shooting under 40.0 percent for the second time in the last three contests. The 2017 first-round pick also has a trio of eight-rebound tallies in his last five games, enhancing his surging value across all formats.

Josh Jackson    F  Suns

Josh Jackson scored 20 points with four rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes during a 129-97 loss to the Jazz on Friday. This was a garbage-time special to a lesser degree, but there's no denying that Jackson is hot right now. He was playing so poorly about a month ago that he received a DNP-CD on Jan. 2. In the 13 games since, he's averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.4 blocks and 1.2 treys. He also gets a boost from the move of Devin Booker to the point and the loss of Isaiah Canaan (leg). Jackson will have slumps, but he is worth owning in standard leagues now that he's trended up for multiple weeks.

Tyler Ulis    G  Suns

Tyler Ulis scored 14 points with one rebound, two assists and two 3-pointers in 20 minutes against the Jazz on Friday. While garbage time did help him out, Ulis was pretty solid in the first half as Devin Booker's backup. Ulis should be the man off the bench behind Booker because of the gruesome injury to Isaiah Canaan, but he'll likely only see minutes in the teens most night. Ulis is still only a desperation add for now.

Dragan Bender    F  Suns

Dragan Bender scored 16 points with nine rebounds, five assists, one block and four 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Jazz on Friday. He picked up a lot of minutes at center tonight because of Alex Len (ankle) struggling to get back on the court. Bender has not looked good for about three weeks before tonight, so most fantasy owners will want to see him do it again.

T.J. Warren    F  Suns

T.J. Warren scored four points with one rebound, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes against the Jazz on Friday. The Suns got worked by Donovan Mitchell, so a lot of the starters lost playing time. Don't worry about Warren at all here and expect him to score 20 his next time out.

Marquese Chriss    F  Suns

Marquese Chriss scored three points with three rebounds, one steal and three turnovers in just 14 minutes against the Jazz on Friday. You didn't think it would be that easy, did you? Chriss looked great on Wednesday with 15 and 12, but he was just flat today. Plus, the suns were blown out and Dragan Bender was playing well. Chriss is still worth owning, but he's not for the impatient type.

Tyler Ulis    G  Suns

Tyler Ulis checked into Friday's game vs. the Jazz. He's dealing with back spasms and was a game-time call, but the Suns never updated his status. We'll let you know how he fares after the game.

Tyler Ulis (back) did participate in shootaround, but coach Jay Triano said Ulis "will warm-up pregame to see about his availability" for Friday's matchups vs. Utah.

Alex Len    C  Suns

Alex Len (ankle) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. Utah. Len had missed four of the Suns previous five games due to the ankle issue. Tyson Chandler will start at center, with Dragan Bender backing him up. WIth Len out and Greg Monroe waived, there will be extra minutes available upfront in Phoenix.
